  • good price for the white tax

    • Pauline Hanson approves

    • Pretty good deal, I paid $1100 last year

  • Is Pure the same as Pulse but white? https://www.msy.com.au/product/sapphire-radeon-rx-9070-xt-pu… $899pp here

    • I believe the Pure have 5 copper pipes instead of 4

edit: talked out of my ass.. The nitro has 6 instead of 5 on the rest, and the pure and pulse are the same, with the pure have a slight overclock

    • It's hearsay, but apparently Pure is a little better. Also, as another user have mentioned, white tax.

    • Nah different card. Sapphire tiers is pulse-> pure-> nitro +
Pure has much better thermals and is a larger card. I have been contemplating getting this card for ages but have held off and will wait until next gen cards .
Posted about this card a few days ago.

      • Pure has much better thermals and is a larger card

        They're the same dimensions: 320mm x 120.25mm x 61.6mm

        https://www.sapphiretech.com/en/consumer/pure-radeon-rx-9070…
        https://www.sapphiretech.com/en/consumer/pulse-radeon-rx-907…

Noise-normalized, their cooling looks roughly the same https://www.techspot.com/review/3015-amd-radeon-9070-xt-roun…

        GPU core: 50C vs 50C
GPU core hotspot: 71C vs 71C
GPU memory: 78 (pulse) vs 80 (pure)
GPU VRM: 65 (pure) vs 68 (pulse)

I.e., negligibly different. The Pure uses slightly more power to boost slightly higher though.

        • Apologies for some reason I thought the pulse was a 2.5 slot card
But the thermals in hwu video always show the pure ahead and is recommended as one of the better 9070xt GPUs to get.
The pulse didn't have the same recommendation

This could be because the fans are at 1500rpm vs the 1200rpm but still makes a big enough difference to cooling.
I just realised techspot and HWU are the same group lol so I shared the video resource of your written resource.

          • @maverickjohn: You're looking at out-of-box figures (where whichever model runs the fans hardest has the advantage), not noise-normalized.

Seek the video forward ~3 minutes.

            • @MHLoppy: I did acknowledge that in my previous comment.
I still think there's enough in the pure to warrant it as a better performer though even if it is running a bit more aggressive with fan speed. Increase clock speed and cooler temps. = Better performance. Only downside is slightly higher noise.
This card will allow for a better undervolt as well

    • …wait until a very graphics heavy game to release to buy a card?

    • It doesn't come out on PC till late 2027 or 2028 lmao

      • Wait until 2027 or 2028 then? Lol

      • Its honestly quite annoying how a certain part of the GTA fandom feels the need to insert it into literally everything for no reason.

        • "You forget a thousand things every day, pal. Make sure this is one of them" - Michael

    • May be he meant once gta6 is out the card will sell with game included

      • i read it more as people will be playing gta6 on ps5 for 1-2 years and abandon their PC gaming habbits, so GPUs will drop? though i don't think the manufacturers care all that much about selling GPUs for gaming anymore anyway.

    • Or just don't buy either this or GTA6 and save thousands.

Plenty of great games to play at the moment with very old cards. I'm rocking a 1070 and can play every game I am interested in. Even modern games are mostly fine.

These cards are enthusiast cards at end of day, same as buying a sports car instead of a basic car.

  • Ah the Puke card

    • Lol. Graphics card prices these days are too expensive, they make me puke

  • I think this hits a sweet spot for 2K gaming. I’m looking for my next more budget friendly PC build for my son. I have a 4090 PC and handful of AMD powered PC handhelds. I feel like the Adrenaline software is more user friendly and takes up less driver space than Nvidia packages which occupies anywhere from 44~51GB on my PC mapping out using TreeSize.

Shame all this A.I crap is driving up cost for us casual gamers

    • Can you really call yourself a casual gamer with a 4090 PC and several handhelds? haha

      • It’s perspective mate - like saying to someone with a $10m weekend home “Can you really call a $10m home a weekender?”
        Well…yes.

    • You can delete the old packages

  • Pure like Colombian cocaine?

  • Thank you, I got one. Now I need to find a buyer for my old GPU that I bought 3 years ago

  • Have this exact card. Very happy with it for overall. Non RT games - great. RT games - haven't tried, but expect it would be decent. AI - LM Studio installed with no issues and runs fine. Noticeably faster than my 5060ti. Also tried installing comfyui and it did run, but had issues.
