  • Its a good deal, I would have jumped on it a couple of weeks ago.

Seeing anything PlayStation now makes me sick.

    • remember, this is just ""renting the game"it's not a purchase

    • Also, buying into this adds to their skewed statistics of people "wanting" digital… NO DISC, NO BUY

      Signed,
      Play Has No Limits

      • Pay has no limits

        There, fixed it for you

    • Silver lining of PlayStation discontinuing physical discs is people are now more aware of the drawbacks of digital games on consoles.

      • But they can stop us from playing our physical disc based games too, so what's the difference?

        • No they can't, learn how. You don't have to keep your Playstation connected to the internet, updated. Set the authentication to local.

          • @cmoddoo: This is so fundamentally wrong it's frightening to think how immature the thought processes of some people are with regards to this debate. Check GT7, or The Crew, and be prepared for more in the future where disc based games being played will be dependant on you having an always-online connection or certain firmware.

            • @ensanguined: Yes, let me clarify, you can't play those type of live service games that had those requirements.
However, long long list of 100% single player games do not need this requirements

              Very small list example

              Final Fantasy 7 Remake/Rebirth
              Death Stranding 1 & 2
              God of War & sequel
              Horizon Zero dawn & sequel
              The Witcher 3
              TLOU & sequel

And so on. The point still stands. Not all game requires online connection.

If you play live service games, then this does not apply to you.

      • There no different to the drawbacks of digital games on PC. Unless you buy everything on GOG, I suppose, but that then limits your options a bit.

        • Well, for one, the files are easily accessible on PC compared to console, and two, there’s multiple storefronts and resellers, as well as the looming threat of piracy keeping game publishers and storefronts honest on PC and pushing down prices even further.

  • Is it the PS4 or PS5 edition of PS5R? I've bought this game three times and I still don't have the current best edition because there's no upgrade path.

    • It's the PS5 version, outlined in the Game and Legal Info section of the listing.

      • Then again maybe I should wait for the PS6 version, so I don't have to buy it yet again.

    • PS5R is the final edition and has been for many years.

  • Same price on xbox store

  • Play it in reverse is my opinion. I feel like if you aren't used to the Persona series you need a bit of a softer introduction to its mechanics and P5R is the most forgiving in terms of the calendar year.

    Persona 5 Royal (P5R)
    - Best combat system and dungeons, great story, good characters.

    Persona 4 Golden (P4G)
    - Combat system is a bit dated, good dungeons, best story, best characters

    Persona 3 Portable (P3P)
    - Most dated system and game, Deepest story, great characters. Short timeline (needs more optimisation). Would personally purchase Persona 3 Reload if you liked P5R and P4G and play that last instead.

    • So i don’t need to play them in order to understand the story?

      • Each numbered game is completely separate.

  • not really a deal, considering P3 isn't the lastest version and Golden is getting a re-release.

  • Not buying they removing disc games. Protest til the end
