      If you only want to use it as a base layer and don't mind it looking like stuff your grandma would wear, I recommend Ktena. Aus manufactured and owned and decent pricing and very good quality compared to Kathmandu, MacPac etc. https://ktena.com.au/merino-skins/

      I go to the outlets in SYD usually before and after winter theres big discounts on them. If its a mix get it with cotton and nothing else especially if you have sensitive skin.

  Got these years back for a snow trip, they did the job but wouldn’t recommend - scratchy and uncomfortable. The base layers from MacPac I’ve found to be much better

  Another vote for ALDI. Just bought two short sleeve tshirts for $26.99 each and one long sleeve base layer for $29.99. Pure merino. Was lucky there were a few left in my size. I’m currently wearing an ALDI merino long sleeve from a year or two ago, soft, machine washable and warm. Outlasted my Icebreaker merino for a much lower price.
