Suikoden was a great game never played it on the psx. Played the remaster on ps5 and surprisingly enjoyed it. Didn't expect to.
I ordered rune factory for switch 2 always happy to add another jrpg.
Hopefully Suikoden is still in stock in a couple of hours for us non-EB world plus plebs.

For anyone with a Switch 2, worth mentioning there's no upgrade path for Suikoden to the Switch 2 version… Though with the boost mode functionality they added a couple months ago, you'll get 1080p handheld with the Switch 1 version anyway (30fps vs 60fps and 1440p docked being the only differences).

The Switch 2 physical has the Switch 1 version plus the upgrade pack on cart, so it can be played on both consoles no issues (like what they did with Metroid and Pokemon Z-A)

It's confusing as hell of a naming convention, but every Switch 2 physical release with the "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" subtitle actually includes:
EB delivery costs really kill any deals by them. I know click and collect is a thing but not always as convenient.
And nearby stores often seem to have no stock because the Plus+™️ members have pinched it all.
There's no local stock before the Plus+™️ members get access either. It's a bait and switch with a paywall. There is so little left they have to offer. EB Games is moribund.
Anyone know if the whole game is on the cartridge? No download crap required? Other than small patches.
For switch 1 cartridges the whole games are on the cartridge - so yes in this case for the games listed above, no download full game crap required.
However, for Switch 2 games just look out for the game-key card text on the bottom right.
For those with a Switch 2 it's my understanding Suikoden doesn't have a free or paid upgrade path from the Switch 1. You will need to purchase the Switch 2 addition for the enhancements like 1440p docked and 60fps.
Digital is in sale at the moment for around $37 with the Switch 2 enhancement.
Got suikoden a while ago. Played it for 2 hours and havent played it since. I know this is a game I would have loved back in the day. I just dont have the time to sit there and go through it on the ps5. Maybe if it was portable.
Lucky this is for the switch edition then I guess. I find that even though I buy games like this for switch I just don't end up playing the switch and stick to PS5.

$19 is a much more reasonable price for a simple Warioware minigame time attack genre too. For authenticity would pair well playing with the NES/SNES controller or a 3rd party with a good D-pad.

Xenoblade Chronicles X, 65-100hrs worth of game for $44 is incredible value
i've got the physical switch 2 version xenoblade chronicles 1 preordered for next week. Love jrpgs but have never touched a xenoblade.
Where does X fit in with the series? Is it kind of the 4th game?
In original release order, X was actually the second game.
X is basically its own thing, loosely set within the same "multiverse".
You can play it as a standalone title without ever having touched the numbered games.
$8 to upgrade Xenoblade X for Switch 2 and no upgrade path for Suikoden to the Switch 2 version, in case anyone was wondering

To anyone else reading it, make sure when it asks you what your postcode is that you search for a EB games store that it is available at and give them that. As they are trying to screen out locations now. I did that and got an sms link that worked a treat.

currently playing through the PSX rom of Suikoden II on an R36S via retroarch.
its more tolerable than FFVII in that respect, but still a significant time commitment - about 30 hours. Its still a product of its time, i am playing through undertale at the same time and I have to say I am enjoying that more.
The remake lets you stop the timer to recruit Clive easier
