any suggestions for a better quality tshirts?

Honestly, try the kmart oversized tshirts. The thick ones. Cheaper than this and they're surprisingly good.

Interesting - I love the Uniqlo U crew neck ones, the cotton is thick, the collar stitching is very good and they last a really long time.
Are you maybe getting a bit mixed up with the other Uniqlo tshirts? There are heaps, and a lot of those are really bad - thin, and get out of shape really quickly.

I like the Uniqlo U crew neck too but they fade too quickly, maybe after 5 washes

I solved that problem by only buying white ones (… because the grey marle they used to make mysteriously disappeared from stock years ago, to be replaced by whatever they call "grey" now)

Better to just buy from kmart for the same quality

You're not getting anything with a bound collar from Kmart.

Yeah the thick over sized ones are

I find these to be great quality, as long as they are the thicker ones. I basically only wear these shirts. I. have about 7 of them right now. I still have some from about 6 years ago that are still fine, the only thing that has worn away is the sizing information on the back of the neck part and a bit of balling as well. I don't think they are bad quality, especially at that price. If i needed more now, I would buy some for sure. Some pics: https://ibb.co/67KvNHh0 https://ibb.co/vvTysLgH

Literally posted my version of this 60 seconds after you haha!

haha i saw. I've tried quite a few "basic" t shirts, as I was looking for the ones I would buy in multiples. I have a very, very small wardrobe collection, and these made the cut. For me it was a mix of price point, quality, availability if i needed to restock, range of colours, size and fit. These t shirts, and Levis 721 jeans are what i have multiples of and wear everyday. Yes I am that boring.

Just my opinion, these t-shirts are perfectly weighted, great fit and last ages for me - obviously other comments here to the contrary which is completely valid but for $15 I just grab a half dozen - there's about 8 colour options, the only one I've thrown out in 2 years I scorched the collar in sunscreen

i need some lightweight but durable white summer t-shirts for hot and humid climates, are these too thick? i bought some tommy hilfiger ones with a tiny logo some time ago (around $20 each) and they've held up well but the collar is getting stretch and now i look poor.
this or something else?
i would be after 100% cotton, or even linen shirts but if t-shirts they really can't be heavyweight cotton

These are the thickest and heaviest shirt uniqlo sell. The uniqlo equivalent of what you're looking for would be the supima t-shirts, but they don't have a bound collar like these ones do to prevent it looking like bacon.

just wear a wife beater singlet

with beer and grease stains and a ciggie hanging from my bottom lip?

I am surprised at the comments to say these are poor quality. I have found the thicker tshirts: Uniqlo U Cotton Crew Neck T-Shirt to be excellent quality

My favourite shirt - good quality, good fit, clean look. I’d buy more if i didn’t already stock up last time it was this price.

Shein offers better quality products.

Better to go with the oversized shirts

Grabbed a couple to give them a test drive. My go-to for years has been AS Colour Staple or Classic but these days the Classic is $36 ($27 for 10+). When I first started buying them if you bought 10 you'd be getting down to $10ish. Inflation huh.
