    Hi mate. I reached out about the red blend in the previous deal. Not the greatest (lots of oak dry flavour, not much deep plum / berry etc.

    Took it to a bbq. No one like it.

    Do you think it will improve with a few more years cellaring?

      Thanks for the honest feedback. If it's showing more oak than fruit for you at the moment, I'd try decanting a bottle for an hour or two before making a final call. It may soften and open up with some air. A couple of years in the cellar could help the oak integrate further, but I wouldn't expect a completely different wine to emerge if you're not enjoying the style today.
      If you try another bottle with some air, let me know how it goes.

        My favorite wines are Peter Lehman's Clancy and 5th Leg Treasure Hunter for reference. So had some hope on this one. I'll pour it in the decanter and see how she goes …cheers.

    Got the shiraz and semillion on the last sale. Found the shiraz decent, and the semillion not great for drinking but excellent in cooking due to its light flavour. Just bought another 12 and used the free shipping code. Thanks!

Semillon can definitely be a fresher, lighter style depending on how it's made, which is part of its appeal for some people and less so for others.
