  I wonder if people getting these "free" games each month contributes to Sony's swayed statistics surrounding the decline in purchases of physical media?

    I do think there is truth on digital purchases, I do prefer digital over physical as it's convenient to play on the ps portal. (Still buy physical, but much less now, I just wait for good digital sales or play them on PS plus.)

      In my experience, never found a good digital sale unelss it's a game over 5 years old, and even then it would be at best matching physical media price

        Not disagreeing with you but just saying there's a few reasons why digital is gaining momentum. It's clearly been Sony's strategy. And most PS portal are probably feeling the same. It's the devil that Sony themself made and we had all fallen in that trap. But convenience is a good payoff it's just unfortunate that everyone loses out for the people paying for convenience.

        If the rumours are true that retail store games will become codes in a box then hopefully we'll be seeing the convenience of digital at disc prices. Then people doing digital game sharing with friends or relatives between two consoles will be winning even more. Assuming this all happens I look forward to a digital future.

    This, and the stats slso include indie games. If it was a physical released game V digital version, physical would win easily.

  Big Walk is looking likely to be a big hit similar to when Rocket League was on ps plus when it launched. Congrats House house, looking forward to the potential expansions.

  Didn’t know anything about Big Walk other than “from the Goose dudes and Co-op” so was excited to play with my kids.

  Turns out, it’s not couch co-op. Damn.
