Consider it a blessing, what an awful colour for a phone.

If you like the colour orange, you will like the iphone with the colour orange

I bought this via MWave at $1900 AUD thinking its a good deal, waiting 1 month for order to be fulfilled and nothing happened, got a refund after 5 days…. it was a painful journey.
I then returned my DBrand, brand new phone case and screen protector for a full refund because i thought, hey, 1800-1900 is the cheapest possible price this thing will get to…..so i justified, 2300-2400 is what i'd buy a new 18 pro max for with any rises going in and snapping it from costco….. I'm so tempted to buy this and rebuy a DBrand case…..the bigger battery and more efficient network chip though on 18….- 4

So close to the 18 releasing, I’d wait my dude

Mwave is finished as a retailer don't bother
- 6

100% - never again.
- 3

Yeah surcharge + very slow shipping

Yep same.- phone arrived this week - disgraceful, never again
- 3

Yeah, will never do mwave

Same. Except mine wasn't refunded

Bought the blue 17 pro max last December (silver was a 2-3 week back order) and absolutely hate the colour and have wanted silver ever since. I’m so tempted to get that silver 17 pro 256gb but an extra $500 (OW $1195 trade in value for 17pm) for a colour change is so stupid
- -2

Orange will be good for like a week, blue for a day max. Always go for the silver.
- 6

Blue’s awesome. Put a frosted black case on it to make it a bit darker.

Pro Max 256GB froom $1899

I just paid $1,804.99 today for the 17 256gb pro max from ow. I would spend the extra over this deal.
- 1

Just curious on how you achieved this price? I am not looking to buy one, I just posted for anyone keen on price protection claim
- 0

Ow price beat costco. But ow have now lowered their price to match costco so that's no longer possible.
- 0

OW reduced their price already, no more opportunity to price beat anymore. You got a good deal.

This one or pro max?
- 0

Pro max for sure (unless you have a very specific reason or just simply prefer a small size), you will get a lot more phone for additional $169
- 6

17 pro underrated choice. The feel and convenience of one handed use is hard to beat. Battery life is still great on it too.
Price being cheaper comes as a bonus
- 5

Completely agree.
Went from a Blue 17PM to a Silver 17P and it is so much better.- 1

I’m thinking of doing the same. Did you trade in your PM? Just wondering how you went about it all

This or wait for the 18 pro in September? Will the step up be worth the wait/price?
- 0

every chance the price will be 30% higher. https://finance.yahoo.com/markets/stocks/articles/iphone-pri…
- 0

It's tempting, but I will wait for the 18 Pro. It will have every improvement over the 17 Pro (coming from a 16 Pro)
- 0

Why not wait for the 19 Pro? It will have every improvement over the 18 Pro…
- 9

There will be no 19. It should go straight to 20 next year
- 0

Will come with a minimum ~$300 increase with not $300 worth of improvements
- 3

It’s tech. Phone loses value each year
- 0

Yes they do. That doesn’t counter my statement though. It will be minimum $300 more expensive than the current model, but won’t include $300 more worth of improvements, not even close…
- 0

@Arcayne: You’re better off buying a 16 Pro then, which gets ask the AI features that the new 18 Pro will come with for even less.
- 0

@imaxsameer: Yes of course you’ll always save money buying an older model. You keep trying to change the goal posts to suit yourself. My point was usually the price of the new models are more or less the same when released and then of course the older model is usually discounted. However, the next model is expected to have quite a jump in price, with no actual value from that increase, and the current model will likely keep the existing price if we’re lucky but could even see an increase as well due to global factors and our weak $

Are theses prices on lock until the 18 Pro arrives?
- 0

Thanks OP. Same prices on Amazon.
~15% off is decent for Apple products. About as good as it gets.
- 2

Would love a discounted OW gift card option to bring the price down further

I thought Apple will only PM max 5%
- 0

I believe it’s 10%

Walked into Perth CBD Apple today looking to price match Officeworks and I was informed by the sales rep that Apple stores are not currently price matching 17s or 17 Pros. Due to 'insufficient stock' nationally. I was a little disappointed since I was looking to get the trade-in for what I have so I didn't have to deal with marketplace, but anyway walked down to OW instead.
They are price matching 17 Airs though!
- 0

Paid $1804 for the pro max 256 at OW price beat Cotsco
- 2

Good timing,OW reduced their price now so no more pricebeat.
- 0

My local OW never price beats shit
- 0

Thanks lodged a price protection claim
- 1

How does that work?
- 0

Many older ozbargainers have price protection on legacy latitude credit cards grandfathered in
- 4

This or wait for 18 in 6 weeks?
- 0

I vote 18
- 0

It really depends. If you try and upgrade your devices in august month every year or every second year then you can have a discounted price upgrade. The only thing is you won’t get latest tech which supposedly coming couple months later with possibly higher price tag. If primary focus is spending as less as possible then upgrading now with discounted price will be a great idea. If you wait for 18 pro it will be higher price tag and as soon as 18 pro releases, they will discontinue 17 pro instead of selling at lower price.
- 1

I reckon it's a good buy if you need to upgrade now, iPhone 18 Pro definitely going to go up in price.
- 2

FYI I walked into Perth CBD Apple today looking to price match Officeworks and I was informed by the sales rep that Apple stores are not currently accepting price matching on 17s or 17 Pros. Due to 'insufficient stock' nationally. 17 Airs are the only iPhone 17 models that they will take price matches on.
- 1

I tried to price match with Apple over the phone and they have advised they are not price matching iPhone 17 Pro line up at the moment because they have been advised internally to not price match this model.
Not even 10% price match which is their maximum by the way.

How reliable are Click & Collect pick up estimates with Officeworks?
Looking at picking up one this Thursday - going overseas - but no stocks anywhere in SEQLD.
