      I have a pair of 8BitDo SN30 Pro controllers, and they work perfectly with my Model 3. The only drawback is that the Model 3 only allows two Bluetooth devices to be connected at the same time, so you need to disconnect your phone first. After you're done gaming, you'll have to manually reconnect your phone.

        I don't have that issue but maybe because my tesla is linked to my phone as a access card. It just turn on a game and it connects after holding the start button.

        I've got a cheap 4 port usb3 hub with my tesla flash usb in one and the 8bitdo wireless adapters in two other slots and it works great with two 8bitdos on 2.4ghz mode without impacting bluetooth

      I think any switch controller would work like the generic ones on Amazon. These sn30 are good though. I'm tempted. I had 8bitdo SF30 and my kids ruined the sticks, they double tapped and drift.

        I had both. Returned the pro 3

        The joystick is further away. Not good for 3d games.

        The pro can swap the keys around which is nice.

        The pro can also connect to PC android and switch without playing around with it.

        But I find the ultimate 2 feels better

        I have pro 2 and ultimate 2. Much prefer the ultimate. I found my hands getting sore on the pro for some reason.

          Came here to say the same thing. Even though the 8bitdo pro is a quality controller (I have the v2), long sessions hurt my hand with it far
          FAR more than the ultimate 2c, Xbox controller or steam controller (v1 and 2)

        I’ve been using version 2 for years and can confirm it’s nothing like PS controller to me. It’s a very flexible controller to use on different platforms but ergonomically not the best. All consoles original controllers PS,XBX,NSWPro are better than this. I have no experience with the 8bitdo ultimate series.

        For me the triggers and thumbsticks feel much smoother being Hall effect, it can wake the Switch 2 from sleep which is useful for my laziness, plus the extra 2 programmable buttons at the top.
        Oh and the dock is nice.

            @Stoibs: Yeah it’s fiddly to set up but once it’s done, it works well.
            Basically once set up you turn on the controller and then shake it, that causes the switch to wake up, and then it connects properly.

                Give it a google if you get one. I got mine from Amazon as well.

                  Does it have all the functionality of it? I'm tempted to buy this instead of that if it can do everything, and it can be used on other consoles.

                    @Blitzfx: I don't have the new Pro controller so I can't compare, sorry.
                    I do use the macro and turbo functions on this fairly regularly for games, which you can’t do on the Switch Pro controller.

      It does, works great both bluetooth and using the dongle. Shows proper name, battery life, buttons, etc.

    Bought one to use with window and Mac OS maybe use it with switch. Shame it doesn’t work natively with PlayStation seeing how it’s going to feel like a PlayStation controller in the hands. 8bitdo controllers are some of the best aftermarket controllers on the market.

    Where does this 8Bitdo fan club come from? Controllers are good enough for the price I guess, but they don't compare to first party controllers. They are smaller, stiff triggers, D-pads don't registered diagonal directions consistently. This controller looks like a butchered version of SNES controller with some odd shaped grips and analog sticks stuck on there.

    People saying its better than an Xbox controller? Wtf?

        I own them, definitely not worth glazing the brand like they do here. Pulled a few apart in an attempt to fix the hit and miss D-pad inputs, good thing there are plenty of guides on youtube.

    Newbie question. I can get a standard xbox wireless controller for around $70. Are these controllers better?
    I just want to play two player Steam games and maybe some apple TV games for kids+parent co-op games.
    I don't have an xbox anymore.

      Seach any thread, these go on sale all the time. No shortage of people saying how much ;better' they are.

      The warranty and local support is better for xbox controller if you have an issue in 3 months - 2 years.

      I got a 8BitDo Ultimate 2C for US$18 from AliExpress, works just as well as the original and maybe better (has a 2.4Ghz dedicated receiver). Wouldn't spend too much on them in general.
