  • This works out to be the same as the Woolworths offer recently right? ERP are 2:1 QFF?

    • Additional points for Qantas CCs. Also less chance of getting a tampered gift card

      • Additional CC points at Woolies too. So yeah only advantages over woolies are less risk and free delivery.
Woolies win if you want grocery discount over qantas points.

        • 2.25 points for Qantas purchase via Qantas CC. At Woolies you only get 1 point per dollar as base

      • Not to mention the inconvenience of GCs failing validation at check out, after WW already charge your credit card https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/17793947/redir

      • Qantas Money card is an extra 1.25 points per $1

  • Just in time for some new gadgets in a month’s time!

    • You are going to need more than the previous years!

      • WAY more for sure

  • Is there a limit on how many cards you can order? Eg if I order 4x $500 cards will I receive 20k points?

    • I haven't hit one. I just ordered 8x$500.

    • Yup. And if you buy 8 you'll get 40k points, or at least I did. 44k since I paid from Qantas Pay.

      • so you got 12.25 points per dollar on paying with Qantas points earning credit card?

        • Qantas pay isn’t a credit card I don’t think.

  • Just in time, have to replace my phone

  • Anyone know whether we could get extra points when paying with the Amex Qantas Ultimate card?

    • You should, I got it for WW on Qantas marketplace so assume similar, 1.25 points per dollar shows in transaction list, then 1x per dollar extra points at end of statement period as a lump sum. (Total 2.25x points)

      • Oh that's cool - I didn't realise these purchases qualified for the Amex Qantas bonus points. I just checked the last time I purchased one and I did indeed get the extra points on my card! That easily makes this the best points deal (and a lot easier than going to Woolies and worrying about getting a tempered card). Thanks for the tip!

  • So for $3000 Apple Gift Card, you get 30,000 Qantas point, even plus the MPFIRSTORDER for additional 5000 Qantas point, that is 35,000 Qantas points. $150 Woolies Gift Card costs 37,400 PTS….Is this the market nowadays?

    • Two notes about that:

      1. the MPFIRSTORDER offer says that it excludes purchases of gift cards.

      2. in general, it's a better value use of Qantas points to use them to buy things like Classic Reward flights, rather than using them to buy products (or other gift cards) through Qantas Marketplace, where the number of points required per dollar of value is much worse.

  • Dumb question - does this incur cash advance fee if i buy with my nab qantas rewards signature card ?

    • The purchase is just like any other purchase you'd make using that credit card, it isn't treated any differently to buying an item in a physical store, etc.

  • is everyone here got a qantas card?

  • they've greyed out the $250 and the $500 :( do you think they'll "restock" these before the offer ends?

    • But is there any issue with just buying the smaller denominations and loading up your Apple balance beforehand?

    • Back in stock

      • Yep got them. Thanks !

  • Not bad got some, plus 12.5% points using Amex Qantas

  • Question, keeping in mind the Harvey Norman and Optus deal for the fold 8, Are we sure that the new iPhones would be cheaper to buy directly through Apple and not through Let’s say Harvey Norman or Optus or JB hi-fi? I’m new to Australia so I’m not sure how the pre-order offers were last year so if someone can help with that so that I can also probably go ahead and buy these gift cards and tie them to my Apple account that would be much appreciated.

  • Anyone else get the error for "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'tracker')"?

Not sure if order went through or not…

  • Anyone else got an SMS after order was placed and confirmed? I need to call them to clarify some details, apparently?

For reference, I bought 1x $500 in the morning and have received the gift card. Just placed 4x $500 and now got this SMS.

    • I had that, very frustrating at first. I called got through in a couple of minutes and the person verified some details and unlocked. I don’t get how you jump through multiple authentication methods at several steps in the process and they still want to verify. Once I called was issued in minutes.

      • And my money was already taken from my bank account. Annoying and dodgy AF

  • A bit of a weird experience using mine.

Purchased GC’s on Saturday with Qantas Pay for the additional points. Tried to do an online order for in-store pickup. Gave me an error and said pickup wasn’t allowed with my payment method.

Went to the Apple Store anyway that day as I had to go to the mall for other reasons. We got similar errors trying to checkout with the codes. Store employee and manager had no addl info.

Went online again and ordered for delivery. Went right through no issues. So I guessed it was some sort of fraud prevention delay?

However, my order seems to be stuck in “Processing”, and estimated delivery has moved from this Wed to next Wed - a week out. So who knows if this is another fraud prevention delay?

Curious if others have had a similar experience.

    • They're digital delivery so maybe that's why?
I ordered 5 this morning and I did get a text message to call them. As it was my first order through Qantas marketplace, it was an anti fraud check so had to verify my identity. After that the cards came through in about 30 minutes.
