yeah i would buy the iphone 17 pro max now mainly because the 18 pro max is going to be alot more expensive this year because for the ram and ssd storage currently going on. Think 17 pro max pricing at launch please 200 to 500 bucks on top of that price.

Still rocking the 13pro. I fell no urge to upgrade apart from the battery. Every year the upgrades felt so minimal that I can probably go through all the way to iPhone 21 before it is sufficient enough to feel really like an upgrade.

for me the warranty didn't match, one said 1 year the other said 2 years, which silly cause 2 years includes the 1 year Apple warranty and the 2nd year is the Australian law warranty.

These are the reasons given over the 5 failed attempt, all of which were different across different attempt:
- Model number doesn’t match
- Warranty years doesn’t match
- Skytree is not an authorised retailer
- The website says seek warranty from Apple after "phone activation", OW says this means it's a grey import
- "We are asked not to price beat Skytree"

In store. Calling is now a hassle because you need an OW account now just to price beat. And its a OS call centre now so it can be a pain to understand and explain.. You can always call the store directly and see if they will match it before driving out. Being costco it should be easier to match and if they ask for a barcode just say officeworks doesnt have any on their own website so why should costco lol

A bit hard to say depends on how many stocks, last time when I was waiting for Iphone 16 pro after iphone 17 pro came out I don't see many many sales, but prior the relase there have been few discounts. I noticed after the relase most of the discount usually for the pro max instead of the pro; for some reason I don't see many pro sales.
Apple ceases sale of the Pro models after new version releases so not sure if it will be discounted even further

When I called - they said that they were unable to alter an order processing - I’d prefer for them not to mess with it.
I’ll try at the store tomorrow if they can do a manual partial refund or I’ll make them process a full return and re-buy at the new price matched price.

Officeworks keeps saying there is no stock for pricematch purposes.
Had the same issue - went in store, they priced matched stock although it wasn't in stock at store, but rather a order.

Try a different colour if you don't mind what colour it is. Usually silver and orange are harder to find stock.
If still no stores near you with stock then its hard to get a price match. Stores cant price match over the phone and deliver.
You have to try call up the officeworks price beat number then ask it to be delivered. May be try telling them click and collect at a store in another state with stock then 'change your mind' before paying and ask them to deliver it instead.
I just used OW chat to pricebeat. They then called me for payment over the phone and all done. They can send to store or at your address as well.

Thanks OP. Good price, i was waiting for 18 but prices of 18 will definitely be more than 2000. Just ordered over the phone, C&C in a day or two as stock of silver is short at stores. They couldn't do Onepass membership number over the phone, will try in store when collecting.
One pass should be in your account already if you linked.
Phone orders appreantly could not use onepass even if i have account.
No wonder in-store and C&C only as their integration is not there yet for online/phone orders

Went to OW and they did price beat with Costco and also got 5x flybuys with OnePass. They didn't have stock but have ordered and will arrive in 2 days for click and collect.
OW PB comes down to $1643.49 - $41.08 (8,215 flybuys points) = $1,602.41
Got this at Camberwell OW this morn - $1,643.49. Simple check with the manager that they matched Costco and baboom. V happy, small upgrade from an iPhone 11.

Ah ok, if you already have GCs then you go to go with JB. If you don't then i believe price beat directly with OW using Onepass for 5x flybuy point is worth it, if you have bonus point credit card that might add up too. That's what i am doing.

There will probably be a delay a delay on iPhone stock, as Samsung have underestimated demand on Folds by 3x, so Apple will need to source screens from LG, etc
