Use your eligible debit card to make 30 eligible purchases of $3 or more between 1–31 August 2026. We’ll keep track and you’ll get $50 cashback deposited directly into your linked transaction account by 30 September 2026.*

Most everyday purchases will count towards the 30 purchases needed.

6. What does not count
These transactions are not eligible:

  • ATM withdrawals or cash-out
  • money transfers or “cash equivalent” transactions (e.g. money orders)
  • gambling transactions
  • BPAY or PayPal payments
  • purchases made using gift cards
  • purchases that are cancelled or refunded

Only transactions that are fully processed (not pending) during the Offer Period will count.

      Was the previous one in June, been credited as "Westpac Reward Rebate AUS" on Jun 15? I got previous offer (not this time), and wondering which one as I thought for June transactions, the payment will be in July

        Yep that’s the description.

        Last time around was in March for me and it got credited two days after I completed the 30 transactions.

          Ah thanks, must be backdated then, as the spend period was 1-30 June, so they couldn't credit it in the middle of the month itself

            @hanofee: Yes they can. Once you complete the 30 transactions and it’s no longer pending, Westpac will credit you the amount.

            It’s not the same time for everyone

    Another way would be to buy a gift card/purchase via afterpay → and then make 30 custom payments of 3$ each for 90$.
    This way just have to make multiple payments but would just be easier than buying separate GCs.

    Hoping AFP would count towards eligible spends though. Trying this First time so outcome is unknown!!

        Have you tried this before? Can't see in their emails anywhere where it is mentioned. Don't want to end up buying a gift card with afterpay only to be not eligible in the end :D

          I did it on the last promotion, did it once with a st george promotion. Didnt get this one, though. Paypal pay in 4 doesnt work though, since Paypal is in the exceptions list.

        in Afterpay, when you choose the upcoming payment, you get an option to choose a custom amount. If you had bought a $100 giftcard, you would have 4 payments of $25 each.

        You choose the first payment of $25, choose custom amount and pay $3, then choose custom amount again and pay $3 and so forth.

            @tenpercent: For the purchase, may be not. Does Amazon purchased GC add to your account directly? If not saving yourself the pain of adding 30 cards back to amazon is well worth going with AP.

          I haven't calculated the maths on it as to what is the most efficient way but I ended up buying 4 giftcards of $25 each to get close to the 30 transactions. The annoying part is that it takes the initial 25% payment straight away of $6.25 so you can't split that first payment into two.

          So for the $25 gift card I got 1 x $6.25, then 5 x $3 with lastly 1 x $3.75 so 7 transactions in total.

          If you only paid $3 on the last transaction then after 4 gift card purchases that would give you an extra 4 x $0.75 that could use for an extra $3 transaction.

      You can get your card details online, then buy things online. Easiest is a large afterpay order, then make $3 payments, or you can also do amazon gift cards. Adding to your mobile wallet, then split payment also works.

          It is pay in 4 but you can make 'additional payments'. Just select that and pay $3 each time.

              @tabboy: Some of them like gift cards on afterpay itself require upfront payment, some of them get deferred first payment depending on good standing.

      It’s a targeted offer so no one knows how Westpac determines eligibility

      I rarely use this account so they could be targeting accounts that still appear active but show infrequent activity

          The limit will be from the bank, not from supermarket. It varies, but as soon as their algo pickup that you're trying to use the card rapidly, it'd start declining. All bank have something similar, from my past experience, generally between 2-5. I think I did close to 10 one time before getting declined, but that was rarity

      I just told the Aldi checkout person (no self checkouts) that I was splitting up my purchases for a card cashback, wasn't busy and she didn't have an issue. Now I also have more receipts for the ShopBack weekend challenges lol

      Just tried SB but there is a limit on how many times you can buy the same denomination for Amazon egift cards. Got 5 of the $3. Then had to move to $4. Only managed 4 x $4 before SB blocked me from buying anymore of that denomination. Haven’t gone back for more just yet. Not so easy!

      Try shopback as per my comment below, wait and see if there is a discount deal in the next 3 weeks

      Don't buy GC in store at coles, the self-checkout only lets you pay with cash and one card transaction. WW self checkouts let you split payments for GC as many times as you like

      Buy Gift card @ WW online and pay with PayPal pay in 4 at checkout. The first 1/4 will pay instantly, then do many one off payments of $3.

    you can split payments for Coles, WW and Kmart etc. I just did 10 through Coles today and 2 through Kmart. I would have done more through coles but I had already tapped 5 x 1c to activate ING bonus interest. I will just do the same sort of thing next week when I shop at Coles and Woolies
