    Got my G86 for $250 and it's undoubtedly the best bang for buck phone I have ever purchased. I'm waiting for the Signature to drop in price to use this as a backup. Never paying exorbitant prices for flagship phones again.

        Isn't two years enough? How long do you expect to keep a phone before the battery starts dying or you break the sceen? The longest I had a phone for was about 2 and a half years. At this price point, just factor in two years and then buy a newer faster one for the same price. Only sheep keep talking about updates as if they matter. If they wanna hack you, they will, even if you have the latest updates. And, let's face it. They won't even hack you. They will hack your bank. So all your latest updates are useless anyway. Been hacked 4 times through my bank in the last 2 years. My phone has the latest updates. Phone doesn't matter.

          Moto g86 power has like a 6800mah battery so even after 3 years of degradation it'll still have more capacity than my poco x3 NFC new (and I had that for 4 years before battery was a mild concern)

          Funny, my Motorola sensitivity levels are being hacked … On multiple devices with older one without updates anymore being most affected. Hence my interest in updates and security updates.

          I agree, I got this on black friday deal last year from TGG for around $210 (those were the days) , battery is awesome (2 days with viewign a alot of videos etc)
          Jsut get another moto when available at the lowest price which is sually around black friday

        This will be an issue unfortunately unless USB C cable headphones. Big battery but can't charge and listen.

            @mayo: I have both. I have never used the buds nor will I. Got them for free with the g75. Still won't use them. Another thing to charge at all times. Not worth it.

      I'm waiting to see if i can get the Google Pixel 10 Pro for $900~ when the 11 pro launches.

      I'd rather spend the extra $300 and get way better in every aspect over the Edge 70.

      If i can't, then i just keep waiting and hold onto my Motorola edge 30 fusion for an amazing deal.

      I just moved from the Pixel 7 to G86 Power:
      Battery life is massively improved.
      Speed is slight reduction (not enough to actually cause any issue).
      Camera is a downgrade (still fine, just not as good).
      Otherwise happy with the switch.

        Similarly, I went from pixel 6 to Edge 60 pro. She was holding on for dear life but the pixel's battery was the biggest deal breaker in the end. Less than 24hr charge per day and lagging badly. She was an old dog that had to be put down

        I'm super happy with my Moto choice. I even picked it over the 70 pro. The battery life is great, I'm happy with the camera and storage. It had better specs than the new pro model and no annoying Pantone logo.

    Edge 70 - 8Gb is a little disappointing for a flagship-adjacent phone with 4? android updates, though it does have wireless charging (15w), which if you need it, makes the $539 price great value.

      It's a nice phone in the hand with the slim design, camera is decent but it's really more midrange in the edge series rather than being close to flagship, with the Edge 70 Max, 70 Pro & 70 Pro+ all above it though they probably won't get released in Australia.

      The retail pricing sucks and pushes it up towards the lower end flagship phones before any discounts but is that a consequence of having the slim design or just Motorola being greedy.
      Edge 70 should really have been around $699 retail, which is still higher than standard pricing in India.

        I always thought of the Edge Pros as the flagship, albeit de facto status in au, with the Siggys being more of a tech showcase model than a top seller.

        Though yes, I agree, a $900 street price for the Edge 70 definitely carries certain expectations!

      I am about to have this experience as sadly had some sort of issue with my G84. Love the phone but now it keeps randomly turning off on me for no apparent reason. Been struggling on with it for a while waiting for a good price on G86 when i saw this just now.

    I've had my g86 now for over 12 months, after the screen on my S21+ started to play up.

    The bargain price of the g86 seemed too good to ignore! Also, the battery life!

    But… I've since realised that I took the S21+ camera quality for granted. The Motorola g86 camera is really bad in comparison. I have not taken many photos with my g86, but with the S21+, I would take pics regularly.

      Yep, camera is definately a weakness. It's not terrible but it's not great either, just does okay - if you lower expectations. Can't have everything at this price point unfortunately.

      Obviously with the lower price they have to pick and choose where to spend money on at Motorola; so most people understand Motorola excels in battery and OS and maybe not so much in the camera area! Your S21+ probably retailed at 3x the price of this!!

        Camera had heaps of issues, would not focus and often crash. Started to randomly drop audio during calls too. Partner has the same phone and has had zero issues. I've got close to three years out of it and didn't pay much for it so can't complain.

    Anyone have thoughts on G86 vs S25FE? Given the Moto is roughly half price, does the Samsung phone offer much more?

    Use case is phone calls, social media doom scrolling, occasional YT videos and personal photos.
