  • I have this and it's been incredibly useful. It allowed me to start my boat's outboard about 6 times and only depleted the battery by about 25%. The tyre inflator is a great little bonus too. So much easier than bringing out the air compressor for inflating bikes, car tyres and balls.

    • What outboard were you trying to start?
I have a Mercury 40hp two stroke and hoping it will work

      • The Evinrude E-TEC 90HP. Turns out the previous owner had not replaced the in-line fuse from the alternator, so my batteries were never charging. Luckily I had this jumper charger in my car so the fishing trip was not ruined.

      • starts my Mercury 85hp two stroke no worries

    • I bought the non-inflator version from a deal last year and ended up needing to use it about a week later when the car's battery died. It worked like a charm, and I was so impressed I bought two more for my Ute and my daughter's car. A couple of little-touted features is these can also double as a traditional USB power bank plus they've got an LED light built into them that can do regular light, strobe, or SOS.

  • I bought this item on the night of 1st August. It somehow got delivered on the 4th. Fastest delivery of an item from AliExpress I've experienced.

    • It would have shipped from Amazon. Stores can put stock in Amazon and have it FBA without actually having an Amazon storefront. In this case Gooloo have a storefront there.

  • Got it from the last deal. Fast shipping and managed to jump my very dead battery on a cold morning. Would recommend

  • Can it jump start an EV with dead 12V battery?

    • My question to AI

can Gooloo A3 Jump Starter start Ev 13v battery?

      AI answers

Yes, the GOOLOO A3 Jump Starter can safely wake up or jump-start an electric vehicle's low-voltage auxiliary battery (commonly referred to as a 12V or ~13V battery).

      • Thanks AI.

        • You're welcome very intelligent internet user.

    • It can, but the only struggle could be the negative. My cars -ve is further away and needs a longer black cable, so check that before buying

      • Any cable deals? ;)

  • Got it for $53.45.

    • How did you get it for $53.45 compared to deal posted above? Please share the hack or details.

      • I got the same. $53.45. I used Paypal. Must be the reason why. Hope this helps

      • Somehow I ended up getting it for A$50.56. When I clicked the link it displayed A$56.56 and applied the coupon and it came down to A$50.56

        • New user discount?

      • Elite tier users get 5% off purchases..

  • This item cannot be shipped at selected region. :(

    • You may need to add your shipping address to your account first before it shows.

    • I got this error too. My address is the only one listed in my account settings in the app.

      • I had the same problem. Edited my delivery address and enter street name separate from street number fixed it.

    • I had the same problem. Logged in, made sure my shipping address was correct, same issue. I then just searched for "GOOLOO A3" and navigated back to the same page and it worked no worries

  • Thanks! ordered one for the wife's car that hasn't been driven in a while, the battery is sufficient to unlock doors etc but not cranking. Will use this to start it up and take it for a good drive to charge it. Might also connect a trickle charger if needed.

    • Charge it up properly with a smart charger. At least there's some monitoring and conditioning happening with a multi-stage charger than just outright driving the car just to charge the battery. You're not wasting fuel either. And don't use a trickle charger (assuming it is of the 'dumb charger' variety).

      • Thanks! duly noted :)

Would this be ok as a charger?

        https://amzn.asia/d/0gsAmLRU

        • I personally would only ever trust a CTEK charger. Yes they're expensive, but it will last you a lifetime and you can leave it connected for prolonged periods without fear of it bursting into flames or causing any issues

          • @Arcayne: Thanks, I'll get a couple of these, will be handy when we travel overseas as well

            • @twister292: Most cars should be fine even if not started for weeks. I've had plenty of Japanese and Korean cars that will just start and go like nothing happened so you may not even need this.

        • I personally own an older Projecta 7a multi stage charger but just checking current prices, gee they've had a big price increase. That Amazon one looks attractive pricewise. Just never heard of the brand B-QTech.

  • I've had mine for a few months now and it's already rescued me multiple times. Started a 3.0litre turbo diesel no worries. When you're far from anywhere you'll be glad you've got something like this. Also the inflator is a ripper.

  • Does the air compressor have enough oomph to pump up a car tyre?

    • Yes, it's slower than a petrol station pump but works well.

      • Thank you

  • Thanks OP. Somehow I ended up getting it for A$50.56. When I clicked the link it displayed A$56.56 and applied the coupon and it came down to A$50.56

    • Then plus GST?

      • My card was only debited $50.56? 🤷‍♂️

      • It's sold from within Aus so no extra 10%

  • I purchased two of these last year and neither will jump the cars. I have an old model and that still works fine but these two don’t seem to have the juice to jump. They show green but I get nothing out of them.

    • Is there a boost button or something on them? Sometimes that's what's needed to get them to jump the car

      • There is but it is not doing anything to turn over the car. I noticed it first on the son's car but put it down to the unit not being fully charged, and a few months later, got a second chance and charged both of them, and both didn't work while the one I have had for about 5 years worked flawlessly. Shame, as there is really no way of testing the ability to discharge without a flat battery. So you could have this sitting in the boot for months and then in an emergency, nothing!

        • Very strange. I have a few different ones. Sometimes I find they either don't work due to that boost button or I need to play with the position of the clamps on the battery terminals.
Would be frustrating having 2 not work when needed.

        • I had an issue with an older Gooloo the first time I tried to use it and it wouldn't do anything. It was a long time ago, but from what I can remember I had to press the boost button and either wait some seconds before I cranked the car or I had to crank within some seconds of pressing the boost. With that procedure, it has worked great on many cars for years with no issues. Sorry I can't remember the exact sequence as it has been a while, but don't give up on it. I remember I was totally disappointed and I thought I wasted money on the device, but I was wrong and I'm glad I bought it.

        • You can test it by disconnecting the ground cable off the battery and connecting it to the Gooloo. This way, there is no need to have a flat battery for the test.

  • Seems OOS now?

    • Shows low stock, and managed to add to cart for me.

  • Is there a model that has the USB-CC battery and does air compressor. I have a EV so the jumpers are pointless

    • The 12v battery on an EV can die too, requiring a jump start (even if the main traction battery is full).

      • Ah good to know. Although i assume its unlikely as its going to use the main battery to charge it if its getting drained and its really some kind of malfunction or leaving the car immobile for a long time?

        • Might be less frequent that they get drained, due to traction battery topping them up - but they will still die eventually from wear and tear. So at some point, unless you replace the 12V battery pre-emptively, you will eventually experience a dead battery (if you own the car long enough).

I believe some cars will also stop topping up the 12V when the traction battery falls below a threshold - so if you leave the car at low battery (like <20% or so) for a while, you may get dead 12V as well.

But yeah - I've had to use a Gooloo for a week while waiting to get a 12v battery replaced (under warranty, because it was under 2 years) in our EV.

  • I had the same issue of the error message: 'This item cannot be shipped at selected region' plus another error when ordering with Paypal when I overcame the first issue inspite of placing many successful orders with AliExpress over many years. It turns out that I had to modify my address by using their address search function which changed 'Street' to 'St'. I've been at the same address for many years. Order successfully placed now!

  • Every time I click the link on my iPhone, it only opens the AliExpress app, not the actual product page. Is there a way to fix this?

    • hold on the link and open in new window/tab

  • Had a Gooloo jump starter (though not this one) sitting in the boot for around 5 years. Finally needed it a few weeks ago. I went from reading the instructions to having the car running in a few minutes. Great tool to have on hand.

  • it’d still around $100 aud after the code. what am i doing wrong

    • Same, I think the deal is gone..

  • I bought another one for my father, definitely great having, and I use my current one from the last deal a lot.

Keep in mind that the compressor consumes a large amount of battery power when all four tires are pumped to 55psi (van). This jump starter is excellent, easily starting my diesel van and Elantra.

It includes every compressor attachment you could possibly want.

    • How long does it take to pump up a tyre?

How powerful is it compared to pumps like Xiaomi Pump 1S

      • I don't have the Xiaomi Pump, but it isn't amazingly fast, about 1 minute or 2 for normal (33 PSI) car tyres.

  • What's the battery maintence on these battery jump starters?

If I only use them once in an emergency (e.g. once a year), should I charge the battery regularly? Does the battery level drop much overtime when not used?

    • I believe they recommend charging/topping up the battery every 6 months

  • just paid $35.47 USD, great deal.

    • Tried several times today and shows out of stock. Any special tip or sequence? Also, how did you get it for $35.47?

      • I clicked on the link, logged in to my AliExpress, then enabled ShopBack (13%, tracked). Then I copied and pasted the promo code. Paid by Macquarie card in USD as per instructions from the OP.

        • shopback is offering only 5% right?

          • @santomaharaj: How do you apply shopback?

            • @aligab: No idea why, I just used the ShopBack Chrome plugin, clicked "Enable Cashback," and then I got an email saying 13%. It said I paid $50.25 AUD and $6.53 was tracked.

  • Haven’t tried the jump start yet but did try the compressor to pump my tyres around 10psi. It got really hot after the second tyre had to give a few minutes to cool down but otherwise didn a really good job. It did use around 50% of battery charge tho from the indicator.

  • Are they OOS?

I can't add to cart. Only a Find Similar button there now.

    • Looks like the deal finished earlier

  • Dammit, missed out!
