  • Where are the servers?

    • Sydney VPS resources (listed on their website)
Your servers run on AMD EPYC processors, DDR5 memory, and NVMe storage in Sydney data centres.
Interesting that they have a Po Box listed in Narangba for mail though, hopefully they have someone down there or have got management for their servers.

    • A bit of poking around suggests they're probably reselling Quantum Core.

      • lol may as well go straight to the source then

        • Hey hey! No we're not reselling Quantum Core - own hardware and IPs! :)

          • @Bizzly: Oh so you're not dog fooding your own product with bizly.au? That's worse.

            • @skwashd: 🙄 We have plenty of stuff already on our servers - and stuff still to move.
I'm not sure what we've done to upset you lol.

      • They say in their starred points at the bottom that they own their own hardware, so I doubt it (also quantum core doesn't promise you'll always get Epyc CPU cores unlike what's written on their website).

        • They didn't stick around to engage in the thread, so we're all left to guess.

          • @skwashd: Yes - that's my bad! Meant to check in this morning but got busy :) Sorry!

  • Mostly cheaper at flowvps, probably the same dc too

    https://flowvps.com/pricing

    2vCPU
    4GB RAM
    30GB NVMe
    5TB transfer

    $11/mo standard pricing

    Also available in Melbourne

For cheaper plans, a provider I’ve not used:
    https://store.soutarmc.com/index.php?rp=/store/syd-vps-hosti…

Also hosthatch is good, I’ve used them
    https://hosthatch.com/products

Onidel has good deals at times way better than this
Paying $144/3 years for 2vCPU/8GB/120GB/2TB on a deal.

First plan is $6.50/mo at onidel everyday and available in Melbourne or Syd

    Second $9.39/mo…

This doesn’t even compete with standard pricing

    • Thanks for the feedback! You’re right—we’re certainly not aiming to be the cheapest option in the market.

There are two main reasons for that. First, it’s a pretty terrible time to enter the hosting market, with hardware and infrastructure costs where they are. We still thought it was worth putting something out there and seeing what interest we received. But you're right, it's in the name — maybe not the place for us 😂

Second, we’re aiming to offer a more support-focused, community-driven service. We want to work with like-minded developers and provide hands-on help with their infrastructure, deployments, CI/CD pipelines and anything else they need along the way.

  • I’m stuck behind CGNAT. I am in the market for a simple VPS that can provide me a non-NAT IPv4, preferably static, that I can route some homelab services through.

Can the NANO plan fill that role?

How long will we receive the promo pricing for after we start?

    • Cloudflare tunnel won’t do the job?

If it’s http only it works

    • If its just yourself or a control group of users, tailscale may be also good enough to bypass CG-NAT for remote access.

      • Tailscale would be good enough, but I also want to run an irc bouncer on the VPS.

I'm using Starlink, but it loses connection every night, for 1-30 seconds usually multiple times, between midnight and 4am. I'd like to run a bouncer to bring my connection gaps with irc servers to an end.

An irc bouncer would work behind NAT, but I'm not going to pay that much just for an irc bouncer unless I can do a few other projects like this too.

    • Hi @yak - pricing is immediate and yes all VPS come with a static IPv4 :) As others have mentioned there are much better pricing out there to achieve your needs!
Although, as we won't plan to post frequent deals I'm happy to offer you a NANO @ $4 per month as a departing gift. Send me a message if interested!

  • Can you run docker on any of the VPS Servers?

    • Hi - yes sure can :)

  • Just jumped on to give positve review.
Had a few domains, website as well as emails to migrate over.

Signed up online and made a mistake - jumped onto discord server and was the bizzly team were able to refund/resolve it for me (which was pretty cool I thought.. having dealt with ticketing systems and queues this was far more the style I'd expect from an account management team).

Didn't know what I was doing as I was trying to figure out Direct Admin as opposed to cPanel which was what I was use to. Again the team were able to direct, provide details and essentially walk me through what I had to get done.

I now have 2 domains migrated across, 2 additional subdomains stood up, all behind an SSL cert which was super easy to invoke.
Really happy with the level of service thus far and for the price it was great.

Give these local champions a go - they'll willing to even migrate everything across for you at no cost!
