Saw that MX Master 4 deal and went "ehhhhh", then remembered these have been sitting in PCCG's clearance section for weeks.

MCU: CompX CX52850
Sensor: Pixart PAW3370
Left/Right switches: Kailh GO (optical) switches
Side buttons: Kailh GM 2.0 (Teal or black?)

More or less the same in specifications, but differ in regards to their shape.

Decent enough price for a wireless "gaming" mouse. Note the older sensor and the maximum 1000hz polling rate, if that matters to you. Some also don't like the feel of the kailh optical switches. There's a replacement pack for the OP1we that has slightly lighter ones, but PCCG are out of stock and I don't think they're going to restock.

Sadly no web configurator, and it sounds like Endgame Gear managed to get breached last year and their software replaced with malware briefly. (Sigh)

Random things:
- OP1we can be disassembled without removal of the skates, the XM2we cannot.
- The shroud for the type-c port kind of protrudes and looks funny.
- Side logo on the white coloured ones isn't the worst I've seen.
- None of us can afford the rest of the computer any longer, so this might be a bit much for solitaire.

Unfortunately PCCG shipping begins at about $15 for eastern coast addresses, but if you're nearby to their Dandenong South address… Decent.

Surcharge: 0% with in-store payment, Klarna & zipMoney, 0.8% with card & PayPal payment.

  • This actually seems pretty good, seems like the G Pro X Superlight 2 but without the icky G Hub and the price tag.

  • Nice. Bought the xm2we for me and the other for my boy

  • I have both the XM2we and OP1we on my desk, been using the OP1we for months and the XM2 for like a month.

Both are superb. The software is just enough, battery is good, stock skates are brilliant (and very little base flex when using dots or donuts for glasspads).

    Steal at $29

    • What's the difference between the two?

      • Shape. The OP1 is taller and slimmer, the XM2 is shorter and wider

        • XM2: ~ 122 x 66 x 38 mm (L x W x H)

          OP1: ~118.2 x 60.5 x 37.2mm (L x W x H)

Did you get them back to front?

          • @HaventAKalou: You are a life saver. I used to look up dimensions of mice and compare them each at a time to see how a mouse would feel in my hand. Context: I use a left hand mouse and have got large hands. Thank you for this website that allows me to compare mice size in a dashboard view. Cheers

  • It's an older product, but my OG XM1 started double-clicking (left click) less than a year into ownership. It seemed like a common problem, but I never got around to RMA'ing it.

It's dying now, but I'm not brave enough to give them another shot.

    • you might be able to fix by loosing the tension of the screw on that button. On my op18k, i was experimenting with getting it as tight as possible and a little too tight makes it double click, but looser and no issues but further travel distance

      • I think it's beyond saving, the click has turned mushy now lol

    • I've been using the XM2we for a bit over 3 years and it works like new as far as I can tell.

    • Yeah seemed common in my research, my XM2w started double clicking after < 1 year too, frustrating.

  • Battery's a bit on low end.

    • $16.48 delivery?

    • Same seller, with an Amazon surcharge and same delivery costs.

    • Would've been useful if it was Prime eligible but that delivery fee 😬

  • OP, re the web configurator I believe you want OpenMouse

  • The op1 8k v2 is one of if not the best mouse i have used and tested probably near 60 mice in the last 5 years if you buy the op1we it is pretty much the same with the exeptions of the battery sensor and polling rate but anything over 1k polling is cope unless you are top 0.1%. And sensors have not really changed much in the past 5 years but give it a go you wont regret it at 30 bucks its a steal imo. Just be aware you cant really palm this mouse my hands are a bit on the larger side 21cm and only claw and fingertip will work for me but it is a small mouse so that makes sense.

    • but anything over 1k polling is cope

It's not, it's just diminishing returns in a lot of circumstances, but it helps a lot when trying to track aim at high speed.

When properly implemented, it also helps with low latency polling as we move towards 1000Hz+ monitors because it will be closer in sync with the monitor output, likely with new input and frame extrapolation tech to take things even closer to natural fluidity.

Bit by bit, we're getting very close to the good old days zero lag CRT and analog mice, but with the benefits of digital signalling precision.

Anyway, these prices are absolutely scorched by the mice coming out of China, where $50 can get you Viper V4 level sensor and battery life.

      • Problem with Chinese mice is their qc is atrocious I've probably ordered 10 different gwolves mice and they all had problems whether minor or major which some required an RMA but when you buy first batch mice when they come out I guess that is just a given.

        • There's some good reviewers out there in that respect. I've had a great time with the ATK A9 Ultimate, but I cannot vouch for long term product quality once they become well known and popular, which can sometimes be a concern.

I've never heard that said about ATK, and they are prolific when it comes to shape, material and sensor options.

  • Unfortunately PCCG shipping begins at about $15

Yeh, now I remember why I get disappointed for most of PCCG deals.
Auspost $17 to WA (but only $19 Express via Startrack)

  • Has anyone used this as their daily work mouse?

    • Yes! I use an XM2we as my daily and it's great. My favourite so far for claw grip.

      • Just got this mouse today… Indeed its a nice mouse.

My DeathAdder v2 Pro is dying after 6 years and this has been a good replacement!

  • Thanks OP, got one of each!

  • Anyone got recommendations for a good 7+ button wireless lightweight mouse? For example of the buttons, the logitech mx518 has two DPI adjustment buttons near the scroll wheel.

    • Depends on what you consider lightweight. if you’re thinking 50g or less, you might be hard pressed to find much that isn’t in the chinese clone/cheaper brand mice space if you’re looking for extra buttons like dpi buttons etc, as most brands that push for light weight forgo the buttons for obvious reasons.

around 50g+, rapoo VT2 max, VT3 max and other models from that brand

      If you consider 80g~ lightweight, there’s Keychron m3, m7, glorious I 2 wireless

Eloshapes website is great to have a browse.

Not sure how confident i’d be with QC and RMA support on some of these mice. Then of course razer and logitech have many offerings with more buttons but may not be cost effective or considered lightweight.

      • Thanks, I'll consider those. I got the Rapoo VT9Pro4K (~68g) for productivity usage a little while back on sale. It's not bad, keeping an eye out for the next one I'll try.

  • OP1we sold out, was just about to buy one

  • Got a few OP1we for my kids and they arrived today. Seem fantastic. Kinda bummed i didn't get myself one
