  This is their ongoing offer.

Also useless for a good while since The Odyssey is excluded and sold out anyway.

I saw the film at Hoyts instead of IMAX Melbourne. For me, the movie was overhyped and it wasn't the director's best work. I enjoyed, The Dark Knight, Inception more than The Odyssey.

I saw The Odyssey for $25 at Melbourne IMAX. So if it's excluded then they have changed the Tuesday T&Cs after Odyssey's release. One thing is Tuesday is their rest day so won't see it from 70mm film but as a 4K laser projection. Here's the deets:

    1. Laser projections are much easier for projectionists - I'm going to say flick a switch but that's probably oversimplifying.
    2. For the audience, laser projections are much sharper and you won't see any artefacts that come from celluloid projection.
    3. Purists tend to prefer 70mm celluloid projections and they can explain their reasoning around that.
    4. 4K laser projection is not "liemax" it uses the full screen - just a different projection technique - so don't let anyone tell you that it is.

So I feel for most people if you don't know the difference, you might even find you prefer the $25 sessions.

The Odyssey is not the only feature film showing there.

Thanks OP. Had a ticket booked for Oasis at IMAX, cancelled it for a $2 fee and rebooked.
