    • Can you give everyone a link to the last expired tardis deal as well?

  • not everyone has EPP access , ask JB or TGG to price match and stack the with 10% off GC.

  • Personally I would not jump into buying these….

Bought the 990F for approx $900 a while back. It is "good" but to be honest, a little underwhelming.

If you can go into a store and listen to the sound before buying, that might be a good way to go.

    • Ive updated mine to 1103 and placed the sub in a better place and my whole room rattles and the atmos is insane with objects flying over my head never go over volume 20…

      • Already on 1103.1.. it just is nowhere near as good as having surround speakers.

To be honest, I feel like I've been ripped off 🤣

        • You sound like an elitist sound snob. I have Q990d and it's one of the best purchases ever, absolutely amazing sound for movies, its a 9/10 for me.

          • @nikoris: you sound like a bit ok but not ok, like something in the middle.

          • @nikoris: Its not that he's being a snob or elitist, hes just comparing two completely different products. No one should buy a soundbar thinking its better than a proper dedicated surround sound setup.

          • @nikoris: You have any problems with random audio cutouts for a couple minutes?

It drives me nuts when your so into a movie and it just stops. Many other people apparently having the same issue.

9/10 for the sound when it works

            • @WR19ZZ: I had a few cutouts for like a month, 1.5 year in. Then they just went away, not sure if i took off and on the cables

          • @nikoris: I'm definitely not an "elitist sound snob" lol.

Previously I was using 2 x edifier s2000pro for sound…. But obviously I was missing the centre channel with just a 2.0 set up.

            Anyway, just my opinion.

        • Horses for courses. It depends what you're after. Is it as good as a medium to high end receiver with surrounds? No. Is it better than TV speakers and does it provide a more enjoyable experience for movies and gaming? Yes. IMO in a smaller room with limited space and/or wiring limitations they are a very solid option.

        • Lets all remember sound is subjective and everyone has a different budget.
I've had my Q990 for at least 3 yrs and very happy with the sound.
Pros: a bang for bucks system, quick and easy to setup with wireless rear speakers.
          Con: rear speakers need power

        • I have have had a Q990 setup for a couple of years that replaced a budget system with a couple of Q3300i bookshelf speakers and Marantz stereo amplifier. I don't have "golden ears", but in my mind, the sound is certainly different. However the convenience and form factor of the Q990 have won me over.

  • is this worth upgrading from Q990B?

  • m after JBL mk2 series

  • Do these types of sound system work effectively in an L shaped room? There would be an opening on the left facing the TV.

I'd love to get a proper surround sound installed but I expect that's several thousand more than this.

  • Has anyone using this on pc gaming with hdmi cable? Should be better than z906?

I have a 90X200cm big table. I can place the soundbar behind the armed monitor

  • I'm still rocking a z906 are these better?

  • Looks like they sold out.
