  • Awww, it looks so cute and happy to see me 😁

    • O.o

  • If connected to NVR it provides the PoE as well?

    • I assume the NVR have built in POE+ ports?

      • The RLN36 does not.

    • I have an reolink NVR system and yes, it gets the power through the ethernet via the NVR.

    • Of their most popular consumer NVR's, Reolink RLN8, RLN12 and RLN16 all have built-in POE.

RLN36 does not and requires a POE switch or injector.

External adapters are also an option. It looks good and is wall mountable.

  • How did you find the coupon? I'm looking for the floodlight camera. Thanks

  • will it work with a HIK NVR?

    • 𝐼𝑡 ℎ𝑎𝑠 𝑂𝑁𝑉𝐼𝐹/𝑅𝑇𝑆𝑃 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝐻𝐼𝐾 𝑁𝑉𝑅 𝑚𝑎𝑦 𝑜𝑛𝑙𝑦 𝑒𝑛𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑏𝑎𝑠𝑖𝑐 𝑓𝑒𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒𝑠

    • yes, I have 2 reolink cameras on my HiK NVR

      • Supports AI?

      • How do you control the PTZ functions?

        • Only through the Reolink app - the Reolink ONVIF implementation does not expose the PTZ controls to an external NVR. This is why I am waiting for a good deal on a PTZ for my front gate I can control through Hikvision. I suppose you can program patrols and presets in the app and have them recorded on the NVR, but I want to run everything through a single app

  • From someone with the 180 cameras, be aware the vertical FOV is really insufficient for good household use. You will miss yard and get a lot of wall if you want to get vision of below the camera. There's just not enough FOV to get both.

    • I think the advantage with this is both panoramic and the PT (no optical zoom)

      • Yep I get that and it might be enough of an improvement, I don't know. The 180s on their own can't be relied on for 180 degree coverage as it doesn't extend enough vertically.

    • Geez, for a split second I thought you have 180 actual cameras 🤣

      • Hahaha I didn't catch that 😆

    • Yeah positioning matters for the 180 cams especially. If you are limited where you can put em it can be an issue. I had the same problem when I replaced my outdoor floodlights with powered wifi cams. Could never get a good angle to cover everything & relocating them isn't easy with a double brick house.

    • Reolink really f**ed this one up.
You can use a tilt mount to angle the OMVI 3i towards the ground so that you see less of the sky.

  • Reolink app is so trash, clips take ages to load to view

    • Have you tried DDNS or tailscale and turning off UID and UPnP?

    • Nahh it just you and your setup.

    • The app is great, if you try to run the IP on the browser, the interface is terrible and lags.

    • are you on CGNAT maybe?

    • I have no such problem, loads in a second on local network and 3 to 5 seconds on mobile. It just depends on your own network and any wifi black spots if you aren't using ethernet.

So many people don't plan the location of the wifi and cameras, puts the cam with 3 or more brick/concrete walls between it and AP so the connection falls back to a 2.4ghz instead of 5ghz wifi.

  • I have one of these and I really like it.

I do have multiple other cameras that provide overlap, but this provides great performance for the price

  • Reolink or Aosu?

  • Reolink plan to soon release the x16 zoom version of this camera which is a significant upgrade

    • Supposed to cost significantly more too

  • Nice PoE camera. I would get one if my NVR can adopt this but it is not compatible (N2MB02)…

  • For the simpler folk, like me, there is a WiFi version of this camera also. I currently have the Lumus and am looking at upgrading for wider coverage area. I have found their cameras and app pretty great to use for the last few years.

  • None of these coupon codes work.

    • Until you log into account.

If MATTROSS doesn't work for you, LANDPET8 provides the same discounted pricing.

  • This promotion is not available in your region. Please refresh the page and try again.

  • On a slightly related note, has anybody lost the ability to control their PTZ cameras since updating to the most recent windows client? Reolink support is useless too.

    • I have noticed the Reolink iOS has gone backwards after their latest UI refresh.

All of my Reolink PTZ cams lag significantly when moving them around.
No such issue when using the Reolink mac app.

  • How many channels does it occupy on the NVR?

  • Sales of security cameras must be off the charts in Victoria

    • Not sure if you are just joking, but Victoria is third behind NSW and QLD for violent crimes* (see footnote in the actual article):

      https://theconversation.com/is-melbourne-really-the-crime-ca…

      • But we are working hard to reclaim the crown!

      • For those who dislike any negative views towards the current state of Victoria with current governance, wait till someone breaks into your house and you will change your mind pretty quick. Every fourth house in my suburb has some kind crime happened to them in last 5 years. This is not normal.

        • Every fourth house in my suburb has some kind crime happened to them in last 5 years.

I'll take your bait. What's with the unnecessary fear mongering? What suburb do you live in?

I've even had the unfortunate experience of being burgled few years back so please don't accuse me of making shit up for politics. But the actual facts are we have less burglary in Victoria than early 2000s.

          According to ABS:

          • Victoria recorded 42,692 burglaries in 2025, down 7% from 2024.

          • In the last year with complete Australia-wide data (2023), Victoria recorded 36,652 burglaries versus 160,885 nationally, and Queensland alone recorded 49,490.

          • Even Victoria’s 2024 spike to 45,895 was nowhere near the 81,119 recorded in 2001, so there has been a genuine recent increase, but portraying burglary as being at unprecedented levels is simply not supported by the ABS data.

          • @CheapCoffee: People have stopped bothering reporting petty theft and small crimes because they know police is mostly useless in solving them and its a waste of time. But regardless of statistics i can see a real decline in state of Victoria in past 10 years. Graffiti everywhere, potholes everywhere, drug addicts everywhere trespassing businesses going through bins, trains and train stations smelling of piss of drug addicts, real wage growth down by a lot, inflation put of control, government debt record high, waste and fraud with NDIS etc etc. So stats dont work for me when i can see it with my own eyes the decay of this state. If you say other states are worse than Victoria then that doesn't make Victoria great.

            • @idindunuffin: Respectfully I disagree. I left Melbourne for almost 10 years to live in Sydney and came back to Melbourne few years ago and anecdotally I feel completely opposite (with the exception of pot holes - Sydney still has it worse somehow, but Melbourne's roads definitely used to be better than what is currently).

The two areas I'm familiar with in Melbourne (inner city west, and Bayside), things have absolutely improved over last 20 years. I grew up with kids getting killed at level crossings and waiting for 45+ mins for trains. There are far more modern infrastructure in my council (community centre, childcare etc), and I haven't found a needle/syringe in my local beach since I've moved back for what it's worth.

I genuinely don't think the reasons you are grumpy has much to do with Victoria or it's government specifically. It doesn't mean that problems don't exist. Don't even get me started on Vic Pol, but the problems you have listed are really national if not international (all western countries) in its roots.

  • Would this work with Unifi systems?
Was looking at this one: https://www.centrecom.com.au/ubiquiti-unifi-protect-g6-180-u…

    • would be able to link the streams to the protect app through ONVIF, though support for features would be spotty i think

      • I have adpoted a bunch of Reolink PTZ cams as well as Dahua onto UniFi Protect.
I find Reolink's implementation of ONVIF is terrible compared to Dahua.
Streams cut out randomly, and thumbnails fail to generate most of the times.

  • Bit the bullet and got Reolink as my camera of choice. Got this deal with the second code and paired it with a 4 TB powered POE NVR they also sell. Added a battery-powered doorbell instead of POE, as the running costs will cost me more than the reliability. Hopefully, doesn't bite me when I go to Home Assistant in the future and NAS setup. Just saw the UGREEN ads, but no idea when those will be available here.

    • I don't use reolink in my setup, but they've got a pretty good reputation for playing very nicely with home assistant & frigate.

  • these codes appear to be expired? I got an ‘Invalid Coupon Code’ message
