Edit: As mentioned by SuiCid3 there appears to be a number of problems with this release from bad upscaling, altered CGI animation, and other technical issues. I wasn't aware this was the case so I apologize for not mentioning it. If you're a fan of the franchise it might be best to get the DVD version instead

  Amazon listings don't appear to be marked as sale items so not sure why there's such a massive price discrepancy.

  Lots of negative reviews of bad upscale (if any) quality and that the DVD release was better (same comments across Gen1 and Gen3 but more so on 1 than 3. Animation details on 3 were never as good as 1st gen anyway, so would probably not matter as much).
