  • Thanks OP this looks good especially for CarPlay and fuel price alerts. Is there a way to add more than 1 vehicle?

    • thanks for the suggestion, will add the option in the next update.

  • Thanks OP. Had a quick play, looks decent. Been using another one recently and the UX is a bit of a pain.

  • so how do you get 100% off? where could we enter the code?

    • Clicking the link took me to the App Store where it redeemed the full version for free (usually $7.99)

      • ahhhh…..I see now!

the link included with the code! thanks! :)

  • Pretty nice app OP.
Only request I would have is being able to add several vehicles, I have a petrol only car and a plug in hybrid so I fuel them differently.
Extra bonus points would be detecting what Bluetooth I’m connected to in order to determine which car I’m currently in automatically.

    • thanks for the suggestion, will add the multi vehicle / Bluetooth option in the next update.

    • Multi vehicle and Bluetooth option now added, please update to see it.

      • Mate, you’re awesome

  • Thanks,

  • Vehicle type: "Gas"? 🙄 Ugh, we're not in 'Murica are we?

Released 2 weeks ago. How much of this was vibe-coded? 🤨

    • The app is also built for US and Canada, Local AU Language fixed

  • Can you seperate Hybrid vs Plugin Hybrid? I drive a Hybrid car but its showing me all the charging stations which I cant use

    • nvm figured it out

  • May I ask how to redeem the code to get free? Thanks.

    • Click link and it takes you to the redeem screen in App Store

      • Thanks a lot, I thought need fill in APP.

  • Would be nice if the map could change to a list view and show km distance away etc.

    • option now added, please update to see it.

  • Doesn’t have costco

  • Curious to know what this does that the NSW fuelcheck app doesn't? Can set preferred fuel/ev and see live prices with cheapest highlighted and a button to give directions straight into your navigation app.

    • I like Fuelcheck a lot, but no CarPlay support.

  • Any plans to release for Android?

    • Yes currently in review

      • Awesome, can you keep this community posted once available.

Hope you can extend to lifetime access to the Android app as well.

        • Yes will do.

      • @iriekid any updates on Android App (post review)?

        • Still in review, Slow process on the Google Play side.

  • i had trouble getting this to work on windows.

So i opened this page on safari on the iphone and then clicked the link which took it to the app store and allowed me to redeem it.

    • Or open link in incognito window which allows to use the coupon else it didn't work for me

  • Had a quick play, looks awesome. Is there an option to do brand specific - e.g. reddy express only?

    • option now added, please update to see it.

  • Looks pretty good. Could I request that a feature be considered in the future? I’d love to be able to block/hide specific stations. There’s some members-only stations near me and it’s inconvenient to keep seeing them and thinking there’s a great deal.

    • option now added, please update to see it.

  • Hi OP. Love this app very clean UX. One future feature I would love if it could show the logo of petrol stations. As I usually go to ones that I can get extra discount at such as EG, OTR and Ampol. Thanks!

    • Yes that's a vital element for me too. The current app I use shows logos and allows any combination of brands to be shown or hidden. Available discounts is an essential part of comparing the pump prices.

  • I'm not seeing prices for diesel for a lot of servos around me?

    • Yeah, same - most places it doesn't have the diesel price.

      • Doesn't seem accurate against Petrol Spy

        • Yeah, I prefer Petrol Smart to this app - Petrol Smart if free and no ads

  • Belongs in the “I built a vibe coded app” megathread.

  • Is this any different to Petrol Spy or similar apps which are free to begin with?

  • I might be missing something but is there a ranking of price in your chosen radius? If not I don’t really see the point in this app

    • Agreed. Having a way to find the cheapest fuel would be useful.

  • EV charging doesn’t show all locations (example Bunnings fast chargers)?

  • No pricing for BP, Evie, Ampol or Chargefox electric chargers around me so pretty useless for EV owners tbh.

  • why does it list petrol prices under gas?

    • Because it's a lazy, vibe-coded UI with basically no QC checks in place.

  • Nice app. It would be better if you could easily see the cheapest fuel. Right now you need to click in to each one to see how much fuel cost. Can this be added ? Or even a filter by favourite brand like BP etc

    • Thank you for saving me a download

    • option now added, please update to see it.

  • I mainly use the NSW Fuelcheck app, which for my two cars I want the cheaper between 95 and 98, so it doesn’t have to be car specific. What this offers is CarPlay support, but I like Fuelcheck showing the cheapest on the viewable map. I just wished I could see the two or three lowest prices, not just the lowest to give me options.

    • option now added for phone and Car , please update to see it.

      • Is there a cheat sheet in the app that explains what the different colour means?

Also I'd like the option like Fuelcheck, giving me the cheaper of the petrol options I chose - mainly 95 RON vs 98 RON. I understand it wouldn't make sense if I chose Diesel and 95 RON, but I'm not sure if 95 RON + 98 RON is an edge case considering a lot of cars can take both but there is always a change 98 RON from one is cheaper than 95 RON from another. I've also seen some stations carrying one or the other but not both.

  • This app is terrific, well done!

  • How do integrate with Google maps? It only seems to work with Apple Maps which I don’t use.

    • Me too

    • option now added, please update to see it.

  • Ozbargain has become the official forum to user test vibe coded apps.

  • Bugger why highlight the most expensive servo rather than the cheapest one?

  • There is no price listed for Ev charging stations.. At least around 2112

    • None in Brisbane either.

  • GJ claude

  • why pay for a app, when https://petrolspy.com.au/ is free ok has ads but turn on private DNS and no ads ever again.

  • Doesn’t seem to link to a pro purchase anymore? I’m just getting directed to the app when clicking on in-app purchase screen.
Maybe it’s a different way of handling it in ios27 though? To clarify - in App Store even clicking on the 7.99 purchase to try and PAY for it doesn’t work.

  • Downloaded, added my diesel car, search the map, see 90% ULP and 10% Diesel
    Makes no sense to me.
    Saw comments above, uninstalled

    • OP, whats the go here?

      • So I just reinstalled it and tried it on CarPlay. It seems when you go to the map there and have your vehicle set up. It does sort them by the cheapest to the highest on the map list nearby which is great so thank you OP.

        • improved the CarPlay UI, the cheapest option will be highlighted in green on the map. please update to see it.

  • I haven't tested it yet but it's a shame if the prices aren't accurate as having Carplay would have been a real bonus for me.

  • should have done more testing op before launching… no diesel and prices inaccurate

  • Guys, if you use this link on your iOS device, you can redeem the Pro version offer: https://apps.apple.com/redeem/?code=OZBARGAIN&ctx=offercodes…

    • Clicking the deal link does the same

    • Thank you! Other two links didn’t work on ios27

  • How can you tell which one is the cheapest on the map ?

    • Once you've set up your vehicle, the cheapest option will be highlighted in green on the map.

  • I can’t seem to get the code or link to work.

It still says ‘Get pro’ for me in the settings, and tries to charge me $7.99.

    • Check bargain enthusiasts comment - I had same issue and their link got it going for me

      • Perfect, that worked, thanks!

  • Just compared it to PetrolSpy and the prices for U98 are the same in Adelaide.

I'll keep using it - will try it with CarPlay later today.

    • improved the CarPlay UI, please update to see it.

  • @iriekid can you also support tomorrows price of the fuel (currently it shows today and in WA we can see tomorrows as well after 2 PM)

    https://www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au/

    • Will look into it.

    • Feature now available for WA users.

  • Added my vehicle with petrol type and tank volume.
Would be good to see those used next to the price listed at each site.

    Eg.
    257.9 ($46.42) instead of just 257.

    Really good app. Thanks.

Also, just a small thing but maybe don’t use ‘Gas’. That’s quite an American term. And here in Aus, Gas is another term for, LPG.

    • Sure mate, I will look into it. The app also supports USA users, where on the Australia side are you seeing the world Gas ?

      • I can’t see it anymore. I have updated recently, so perhaps it was fixed in the update. I think it was somewhere in the setup of the vehicle, but I can’t find it now.

        Nice update btw.
