  • Flights are to Cairns - I assume you have to hire a car or bus?

    • There’s a shuttle Bus from cairns to port Douglas. We were there last year. No need for a car in PD itself but I would suggest hiring a car for a day in PD to go to the Daintree, is way better than a tour

This is a really good price. PD is on the exy side but is really great

      • Agree, head into Daintree Village, the pub is nice and take a river cruise with Bruce Belcher, one of the highlights of our trip.

        • Captain Yobbo and Bruce Belcher on a trip after the pub - sounds like an adult Aussie animated sitcom

          • @Big L: Haha, he's a terrific bloke, knows everything about the flora & fauna and where to find it all on the Daintree River.

            • @Captain Yobbo: Unfortunately Bruce passed away earlier this year

              • @Gunnar: Oh damn, that's sad, he was pretty old when wifey and I enjoyed his tour back in November 2020. RIP Bruce!

      • +1 on renting a car, beautiful drive up the coast.

  • Can you bring infants with these deals?

    • 7kg or less in carry on

    • Just strap the infant to you and wear a mumu

  • I want this without flights

    • You can book just the hotel.

      • Username doesn’t check out

  • How do you actually get this price with flights and hotel together. The page takes you to a separate link for both and the jetstar flights aren't including bags.

    • Yeah wondering the same. The Luxury Escapes prices aren't what's listed on the IWRF site

    • You book the flights & hotels separately (its how we are able to get the prices so cheap). Prices listed here are for Jetstar flights with 20kg bag. If you choose the flights without bags then it will be cheaper.

      • Jetstar? Lmao no thanks

      • I couldn't see the hotel under $775 pp twin share?

        So $300pn for 5 nights.

We normally use Amex credits here at $200 - $250 per night.

"PS - They will come at you guns hot for a TIMESHARE ..

        • Hi tunzafun001 - If you choose 5 Dec to 10 Dec the hotel is $819 in total for the room which is $410 per person, twin share. All the dates in the deal are for the hotel at $819 for 5 nights.

    • Had to create a Luxury Escapes account and then see the option top right to add flights and choose location.

      • Thank you.

  • Title should state per person, twin share. There's no way to get those prices solo.

    • I just updated the body text with the per-person info. Thanks for catching.

      • You need to update the title; otherwise misleading (price pp, based on twin share, 2 people required)

    • 26 months? Your child is 2…

      • Yes usually they charge a seperate ticket for the baby over two. While tickets are oki. Do we also have to pay for a seperate room ? Since this is twin share or an extra person ?

        • Just say the "baby" is 23 months old. What are they gonna do? Card him/her?

        • The room has a sofa couch and you ask for bedding for a child when you check in. May/ may not have to pay. $30 a night officially I believe.

    • Yes I have to pay for my 437 month child too…

      • If you had one of 437 month child and one 26 month old alongside you being atlest 400 month old child. Would you still be expected to pay for your 26month old separately! Obviously your 26month old wouldn’t be occupying a seperate room by themselves . .

Want sure why I was downvoted by people! It’s just a question for OP

    • This is a trick question right?
The first sentence is a red herring, because the question is about a baby.

      • True but do they charge for a 2 year old seperately. Again it’s all good. I checked booking.com ; hotel has free toddler bed and I think I need to book tickets; that’s all. So much for asking a question. The reason I said 26 month old is because it’s above 2 years.

  • Wish this was for the 10th to 15th of October would have been perfect

  • Any ideas on price for a single? I’m alone and don’t like anybody else, thank you

    • Well, with that outlook…

      • I’m cool with my choice 😂

    • i always travel on my own tooo, its the best. only part that sucks is eating dinner on your own in a resturant but i dont care about that anymore.

      • Agree. I went to Laos many years ago with a group of friends and hated it - everyone wanted to drink and then sleep til lunchtime the next day. When I go on my own I can just do what I want to do.

Yes, eating alone in a restaurant is a bit of a con… I personally don’t mind eating alone, it’s the judgemental looks you get from others in groups 😂

        • yeah a lot of the time i just get take away and eat it in my hotel room but when its on a cruise thats a bit different

  • Per person, twin share prices are a bit of a joke really. Just a way to fool people into being interested in the headline price.

There is no way the price can be less than the pp x 2 price, so why bother with it. It's like advertising a 5-seater car worth $50,000 is only $10,000 (per person, 5 share).

  • It is cyclone season there in summer FYI

  • I'm confused by this deal. It's not really a package deal, is it? Flights and hotel to be booked separately. It would be clearer if the hotel were listed once, as the price must be the same regardless of where you're flying from, with the flight/hotel price split made clear. Also, the hotel price seems pretty much the same as what you can get via Booking.com or whatever. 🤷🏻

EDIT: I guess the hotel is a bit cheaper, if you factor in the food voucher, wine, bike hire…

  • Ok just looked a single date and it’s cheaper on booking.com (nov10-15). If flights are seperate from Jetstar . Whats the deal here !

  • Breakfast is probably another $30 or $40 per person per day as well? And if you don't have a car, and you're feeling lazy, and don't make good decisions when you're hungry, (like me) then you'll pay whatever the hotel is charging for brekky. Not a great deal at all really, IMO.

    • Dinner at the Ramada is half decently priced. Breakfast options are limited and quite exy. 2 adults and a child is difficult to get under $50.

Grab your own cereal/ milk from the Coles (or supermarkets on the way).

  • is a 1 year old going to cop the pp charge?

    • is the 1 year old a person?

  • FYI the Ramada isn't in the middle of Port Douglas - we've stayed there previously and glad we had a hire car, it's definitely not walking distance to the town centre! There is a (slow) tourist train across the road that goes into town though.

    • yeah Paddys Pub is over 4kms away!

  • Checking Google Travel, Super.com has the hotel a few dollars cheaper per night

Does Costco still have their 15% off luxury escape gift cards? Not sure if they still do but that's also a good option

  • @IWantThatFlight any chance from Newcastle?
