* (This DLC is included in the Game of the Yorha Edition) *

Nier: Replicant $35.98 https://store.steampowered.com/app/1113560/NieR_Replicant_ve…

NieR: Automata tells the story of androids 2B, 9S and A2 and their battle to reclaim the machine-driven dystopia overrun by powerful machines.

Humanity has been driven from the Earth by mechanical beings from another world. In a final effort to take back the planet, the human resistance sends a force of android soldiers to destroy the invaders. Now, a war between machines and androids rages on… A war that could soon unveil a long-forgotten truth of the world.

Key Features:
* Action-Packed Battles – Players will switch between using melee and ranged attacks in battle against hordes of enemies and challenging bosses across a variety of open field maps. The tight controls and incredibly fluid combat are simple to learn for newcomers while offering plenty of depth for more experienced action gamers. Players can perform high-speed battle actions—combining light and heavy attacks—and switch through an arsenal of weaponry while evading enemies with speed and style.
* Beautifully Desolate Open-World – The game seamlessly joins together hauntingly beautiful vistas and locations with no area loading. The environments are rendered in 60fps and contain a wealth of sub-events in addition to the main storyline.
* Masterfully Crafted Story and Characters – NieR: Automata tells the story of androids 2B, 9S and A2 and their ferocious battle to reclaim a machine-driven dystopia overrun by powerful weapons known as machine lifeforms.
* Elements of an RPG – Players will obtain a variety of weapon types, level up in battle, learn new combat skills, and customise a loadout that caters to their playstyle.
* Utilise the Pod Support System to Assist In and Outside of Battle – Pods can attack the enemy in both manual and lock-on modes. They can also assist outside of battle, such as allowing the player to glide through the air. Pods can be enhanced throughout the game, with upgrades including new attack methods and variations.
* “Auto Mode” Available for Beginners – Novice players can elect “Auto Mode” for easy attacks and evasions.

  • Bought this game twice lol. I really like it.

  • I can't remember, was the Steam version eventually updated with the newer version they put onto the Windows store?

Edit: I looked it up and yes the Steam version got the patch eventually. Japanese devs are so unreliable at patching their games.

    • I believe they patched it in 2021

Other stability related fixes have also been implemented.

  • Amazing games.
Even though they're sung in gibberish, some songs on the soundtrack still hit like a truck.

    • The chaos language was basically an excuse for Emi Evans to flex that she understands like half a dozen languages lol.

  • This is genuinely one of the best games ever made.

The score, the story, depression, 2B’s ass physics and depression.

    • 100%. The problem is it's very hard to explain why without either ruining the story or describing it as a game you play 5 times which of course turns people off.

The gameplay is fun enough to pull you in, the music is amazing from the very start and unraveling the story has you pushing for the end.

I had heard only that it was worth pushing for ending E. When I finally got there it was something like 4am and I was physically & mentally exhausted. It was perfect to experience the ending.

  • Glory to mankind

  • I swear, that and Replicant are the same sale prices every time.

(Already got them both on PS4 but wanna get Replicant to try out the new mod that uses the Daddy Nier model)

  • It's $16.15 at Greenmangaming if you have the xp. Nier replicant is $30.58 there too.

    • "Unfortunately, you are not allowed to purchase a specific game in your basket. Please contact customer service for further help."

Heh that's weird, first time I've ever gotten that error at GMG.

      • I can proceed to payment with replicant but not automata, so guessing they're just out of automata keys and it's not a regional block/age verification thing

  • Is there an edition of this game where I don't have to play it through multiple times?

    • Are you actually playing it through multiple times?

      That's the question.

    • I know that you can buy the PS$ version and not even play through it once?

    • To be fair, I do find games that have multiple endings a little annoying. I dont really enjoy replaying large parts of games just to see all the content.

  • Absolute banger of a game. Just when you think it's finished, it's only just getting started. Plot, characters, graphics, soundtrack and gameplay all outstanding

    • Dude when the title screen came up I was laughing so hard.

  • The DLC & sequel are 60% off as well

Nier: Automata both came out (originally) after Nier and is set after it, though the remastered version ("Nier: Replicant") was released after Automata. You don't have to play Nier: Replicant in order to play Automata.

Also recommend playing Automata, is very good.

  • Game is great. OST is even greaterer .

    • ??? The prices are all either $19 or over. It does show a $16 steam price from a year ago

  • Great, another game that others have about that I buy and don't have time to play

  • Absolutely great game, especially if you enjoy games like DMC and Bayonetta. Platinum made this one so it has great combat and rewards perfect dodges. Amazing story, but also just know that youre supposed to play the game to completion multiple times. The true ending isnt really acquired until youve gotten a few other endings, so if you really want to get the most out of the game and the most emotional damage possible, get the true ending.

    • Sounds like Hades.

Man I should buy Hades 2

  • One of the greatest stories ever conceived.
