TPG 5G Home Broadband 100/20Mbps $39.99/M for 6 Months (New Customers, $69.99/M Ongoing) @ TPG

160

Similar to the last deal i shared before.

One of the cheapest 5g unlimited home broadband plans in the Australia (with good speeds up to 100Mbps). Some things to note however same as before are:-

  1. Unlimited Internet on the Vodafone/TPG network. (Tip- You can test your connection/network before also by using a vodafone network sim in your home). You can also find if you have a nearby Vodafone 5g tower or not using RFNSA website

  2. Its a CG-NAT network, (you have no option to opt out of it, hence it may not be best for you if you want internet for any tasks like uploading, vpn, hosting services, remote access, low latency tasks etc). My Network says its relayed network via Sydney. So I guess Sydney people will have the lowest pings in Australia.

  3. Not all locations are officially eligible for this, probably because they want/need to guarantee a min speed for your address before you can get the connection. (Tip:- you can still order it unofficially by ordering your service to another eligible address and have equipment delivered to another postal address).

  4. Modem Supplied by TPG for this is TPG Arcadyan 5FWA2025. If you stay with them for 36 months then its free else non modem return fee may apply upto $300. It has wifi 7 but certain things are restricted, like custom DNS. You can use your own modem behind this ISP supplied modem with no issues, (just adds extra NAT but works fine incase you want to use a better modem). Honestly you can even use another 5g modem from internet with their supplied sim internet works surprisingly on few Nokia modems i tried with also.

  5. If you do not need min 100 Mbps speed, you can save $10 and get the cheaper $29.99 plan.

  6. You can order the service and have it activated later (upto 28 days from date of purchase). Service gets activated once you plug in the modem. If you do not activate service you will have to return the modem or pay modem non return fee.

  7. Technical Support for the service is available by TPG 24/7 by calling them if anytime your service has any issue.

  8. You do not have to stay with them for 6 months+ if you do not want to pay the $69.99 ongoing price, you can simply return the modem for free. You can even resignup on a new service for new price and cancel the service on last day and activate modem on new ordered service the next day or same day also.

*Typical Evening Speeds are subject to change and measured between 7pm and 11pm. These are not guaranteed minimum speeds and speeds may vary. You may experience slower speeds during this period and at other times. Max speeds 20Mbps download and 2Mbps upload. See Speed Guide.

^A new or remanufactured modem will be supplied to use with your plan. The modem is $0 when you stay connected for 36 months or return it if you cancel early

    • Also just read point 3, isn't the modem meant to be used at that location only? If you use it at another location, won't they see that as misuse?

If it does work, can I bring my modem to my friends house in next suburb to test the speed before they sign up as they're not eligible

      • It does work.

  • Plan not available in my area, not sure why. No issue signed up to other providers’ 5G internet.

  • What’s the latency like on this for online gaming? Been playing a lot of PoE2, and occasionally dabble in games like Battlefield. Is it playable?

  • Anyone had luck negotiating down the price after trial period? I am sick of churning around and resetting things up

simple solution, just use your own router/modem behind this one from ISP, connect your router to this via ethernet. ZERO SETUP REQUIRED ANYTIME you wanna churn them.
