  • You can get a pack of 4 toshiba cr2032s from reject shop for $4

    • ANYTHING is better than Duraleak.

(I know it's mostly their alkaline batteries, but to hell with them, so many leaked batteries, they don't get my $)

    • You reckon you are getting legit batteries @ $1 each??? sweet.

      • Not a chance in hell.

I remember buying Sony branded CR2032 a few years ago from a reputable seller on eBay.
They barely lasted about 3 months in my car remote.

The legit ones last at least a couple of years.

        • I don't think accc would allow a large retailer like reject shop to sell fakes as original.

As for quality I've had no leak, or any short life compared to other brands like Panasonic or Sony problems. But do what works for you.

          • @Perrino: Good luck with regarding Reject Shop as a reliable retailer. They would get a container load of junk from China and that's what hits the shelves. Woolies or Bunnings you could trust…not Reject shop.

  • Aren’t energizer much better for CR2032?

    • Literally anything else for button batteries. Energizer, Maxell, even the dodgy looking grey market Panasonic ones are better.

  • Fun fact about these CR coin batteries:
CR2032: the 20 represents the diameter of the battery (20mm) and the 32 represents the thickness (3.2mm).
Likewise a CR2025 is also 20mm in diameter but only 2.5mm thick.

    • Now i need to find a CR2412 for my cars keycard

    • Same with batteries like the 18650. They measure 18 mm in diameter by 65.0 mm in length

  • right on time for my dead smarttags. thank you

  • used 2 last night out blue… cheers!

  • If buying for AirTags it's best to use non coated, first gen AirTags at least. I have experienced first handed the coated batteries not working.

    • The bitter tasting coating?

      • Upvoted ya funny bas turd!

    • I just wipe these with IPA before installing to strip the bitterent.

      • I thought about doing this as well (before installing them on AirTag devices).
However, these Duracell batteries work on car remotes, and other appliances without having to wipe them.
Why are the AirTags so fussy?

        /cc @dandandan

        • Assuming it's a very thin layer, alot of devices (galaxy tag for example) has some sliding action for contacts when you insert the batter.
Airtag doesn't seem to have this.
          Just a guess.

  • I believe this is one of the qualifying items for this promotion:
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/977023

  • Got Supercheap to price match and used the $5 promo credit from the deal last week. Net - $1.87.

  • Available again and down $0.05

  • Or you can get the 2032H (rechargeable) version and safe the environment and money.

    • I didn't know rechargeable button batteries were even a thing! Thanks!

      • I own a few, but the very low capacity makes them more hassle than they're worth.

    • Any reputable brand you recommend? Did a quick google search and they don't seem to be that common.
