I reckon there is a difference in the way the oats taste /texture too.. Am guessing it's the way they're processed? Whatever it is, Uncle Toby's is better for me.
I’ve found soaking them for ~30 mins before cooking helps them absorb the liquid better.
For some reason, I found the ones from Amazon taste different from the ones I purchased from Coleworths

Might be a personal opinion only, but I've found ol' mate Tobes' oats to be inferior to Red Tractor oats.
