    • I was thinking about posting the Casio W218H (sold by OzStock also) but doubt there's much stock.

      It's a better build quality for only a bit more… $45.96.

      • The Casio DW291HX-1A looks great IRL, $94
Almost G-shock quality - 'HD' = heavy duty, 200m, crystal glass. Very solid compared to the AE1200 etc.

        lol @ Amazon descriptions:

        Total USB 2.0 Ports 2

        • Sure if you really like the look but you can buy an actual G-Shock (DW9052) for $92.75 atm.

          • @WatchNerd: Yeah I don't need it but some people like to collect a few different ones.
Just saying it's pretty solid versus most cheaper ones that are $50

            l G-Shock (DW9052) for $92.75 atm

Those were a steal for $66 that time. Sold, got one from Anaconda for $80
Got the black/gold one for $100, feels a bit more premium somehow than the classic

  • but the other is that there is something inherently ridiculous about digital watches, and not about cellular phones. Now this is obviously a matter of opinion, but I think it’s worth explaining. Digital watches came along at a time that, in other areas, we were trying to find ways of translating purely numeric data into graphic form so that the information leapt easily to the eye. For instance, we noticed that pie charts and bar graphs often told us more about the relationships between things than tables of numbers did. So we worked hard to make our computers capable of translating numbers into graphic displays. At the same time, we each had the world’s most perfect pie chart machines strapped to our wrists, which we could read at a glance, and we suddenly got terribly excited at the idea of translating them back into numeric data, simply because we suddenly had the technology to do it… so digital watches were mere technological toys rather than significant improvements on anything that went before.

    • Douglas Adams

    oh, and try https://www.amazon.com.au/Casio-Black-Classic-Digital-F91W-1…

    • Yep, the toys that are more accurate and have features than even the most expensive automatic. Crazy eh.

This is more of a watch you use to track time, rather than to make fashion statements to people who don’t care.

      • But not as accurate as my watch with GPS.
Be honest: anyone who wears this in public is making a statement. Just a different one to other watches. "No statement" would be a cheap analogue watch.

I'm here because I added this to my watch list (no pun intended!) but now I'm thinking the novelty/nostalgia will wear off too quick. Too many watches in my drawer already! It is cool though, in a geeky way.

        • The statement is, I want something easy to read, cheap to replace, can be stolen or lost and I wouldn’t care, could last a decade with no extra cost.

This watch was my solo watch for a few years before I bought other fashion/tool/waste of money watches. Incredible watch, but probably not if you already own a bunch

  • about $6-10 too much but those days are probably gone.

  • Curse this inflation.
First they came for interest rates…. Now they come for my Casio 🥲

  • any deals on F91W re-release with nato straps?

  • Isn't it these went on sale below $25 in the past ?

And what is the difference between f91w vs f91w-1 ?

  • still too expensive… f91w is overrated anyways get a skmei.

    • Post a deal

    • ewww.. uugly af! why would I buy a knock off design

      • if you go down the rabbithole, you'll see that many watches are knock off designs, including casios.

    • You could get one to see what they are like.
These Casios are affordable to all, plenty of models whether you want to spend a little or a lot.

  • CamelCamelCamel shows it as $16.99 this time last year :'(

    • yeah. But the good thing about these watches is that they will last forever (but not the resin strap).

      • Yeah it's not really worth paying over $22 either way. G-Shocks better , replacement fake straps easily available on AliExpress. Suppose can get F91w ones too, they are just a very small watch and don't sit on my wrist well. No doubt a cult classic.
