Big W have the Nintendo Switch 2 Console on sale for $699 (down from $769) until Oct 14 2026 (according to Woolworths Oct 1-14 catalogue).

You can stack the promo code EXTRA15 online or for click and collect to bring the total price to $684.

Officeworks should price beat the sale price $699 in-store depending on local Big W availability to $662.15.

Price rose in September so this is a good deal if looking to buy now.

EDIT: As of 5pm 1/10/26, EXTRA15 code has been disabled for gaming consoles and Officeworks has price matched to $699 so no further discounts.

Big W stock is very low, your mileage may vary.

  • Pretty good deal. Cheaper than what I paid for pre price hike.

  • I've never done an officeworks price beat before, can you do it instore and use flybuys dollars?

  • Out of stock? I cant see stock anywhere?

  • Glad I got mine at $629 from the Toy Sale. Lay By’d it and chipped away.

  • Still on my original switch - love Nintendo!

  • Would Good Guys price beat this? I dont see the button on their site but I have some store credit for them and I really have no reason to shop there otherwise

    • Theyll only match Big W's price and said Officeworks is below cost

  • this or switch oled with CFW loaded?

    • Depends on how many switch 2 exclusive games you care for

    • switch 1 cpu/gpu is getting pretty old now. switch 2 screen looks really good too, comparable with the switch 1 oled.

    • Modded oled if you want to pay no more

    • I just bought a switch OLED.

Wife has a Switch 2 in the lounge. It's pretty big, I think the size of the OLED is just right for taking with me. Switch Lite's size is perfect, but OLED has a noticeably bigger screen which makes a massive difference in some games.

I may buy myself a S2 OLED when that comes out, otherwise a Lite and OLED will do for me for now.

  • Good deal for where we are now. Getting it for about $530 with discounted gift cards from Coles and Officeworks price match of digidrect was the GOAT, doubt it will go that low again ever

  • Thanks OP. Absolutely fluked it at Officeworks where they misread the BIG W price as $669 which came out to $635. Stacked with OnePass 5x points and the $50 ultimate home GCs from Coles this week

    • Username checks out

  • Thanks OP, got it price beat with Officeworks

  • Kids keep trying to convince me to get a Switch 2 but I'm annoyed I can't use the Migswitch with it.

    • Of course you can, but only compatible with switch 1 games

      • I've been told that using the Migswitch on a Switch 2 = banned console.

        • Not if you can get games from reputable sources (Not tempted in any way) or dump games yourself as they act exactly the same as the official cartridges. But yeah, one modded ROM will get you banned instantly

          • @OzBed: Only thing I use it for is games I own so the kids don't lose the cartridges when we're travelling.

So this is safe ? Not that I don't trust you but do you have any other references in forums or such of people doing this ?

            Thanks.

            • @drsmithy: I wouldn’t risk it. The Mig has had imperfect concealment in the past, and we don’t know what additional detection measures are in place on the Switch 2 system.

If you want portable games on Switch 2 right now, use a carry case or buy them digitally.

At least with Switch 1, if it gets banned you can fully hack it and keep it updated that way. Switch 2 relies too much on its online connection to stay useful.

  • Thanks OP! Been trying to get one on marketplace for a few weeks to be ready for OoT but got sick of scammers wasting my time. OW price beat came to $664.05

    • I saw a few on FBMP but didn't act on it, how do the scammers work? What do they do?

      • As an IT worker who mostly WFH, (to be clear I'm not selling crap on the side) but I'd definitely have enough spare time in the day especially between larger projects/deadlines etc to run a side-scalper hustle if I wanted to. So it's probably those similar to my roles.

That or some people probably legitimately make scalping/flipping their income and dedicate themselves to it.

I hate scalpers; but as long as people keep paying, they'll keep scalping. Same thing happened with retro/vintage furniture, clothes, now retro consoles, etc.. Stuff is supposed to be cheap/old but it only takes a few people with deep pockets to see a large demand and price hike for such things…

        I shouldn't walk into an op-shop and see a 50 dollar shirt. It's ridiculous

      • They have the listing in the wrong location (for example, for me I’m searching in Brisbane) and then when they say it’s available they give their address and it’s something like Gladstone or Byron Bay and claim that it’s accidentally the wrong location but they can ship it you. Messaged about 10-20 listings and every single one that was under $650 was conveniently located ages away from where the listing showed it

    • Only if you're looking for $400 switch 2. Standard sold price on FB is $500, and I mean you better msg with 15mins or it gets sold

      • Even ones $500-$600 I was messaging about were located hundreds of km from the listing. For the sake of $100 I’d rather know I’m not getting scammed, get brand new and have a warranty

  • Thanks OP!
Came to $664.05 with price beat instore.

  • why are people buying the switch 2 now when they could have got this price on a normal day for the last year… wasn't a good deal then and even worse now.

    • OOT remake announced recently
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuFfiTEr2yc

    • All consoles are increasing in price, and this won't slow down.

Waiting for 'best price' isn't going to work too well currently.

Also Fire Emblem latest game is Switch 2 Exclusive and just released - would be reason enough for some people. And as above comment, Zelda Ocarina of Time remake

    • Non early adopter would want to wait for the games to come out first.

Now is the perfect time to purchase, as they have released bangers after bangers.

    • I'm only interested in the Zelda remake and Fire Emblem … still on the fence in buying the Switch 2

      • same as me. no interesting game is the main reason why i don't buy it years ago

    • I literally had no interest in the Switch 2 until Ocarina of Time was announced.

  • Looks like Officeworks has updated their price to match bigw.

    • Does it mean than a price beat is no longer available? Thanks

      • Yep can't price beat any more

  • Very nice. I got this from Officeworks last night for $715. Just needed to wait one day..

    • You have paid just $16 more than others may pay today

  • Office works wont do a proce beat they say its showing 699 on the big w website. Also when I add the 15% code it still shows I meed to pay 699.00

    What am I doing wrong??

    • I think gaming consoles are excluded?
      Edit: Yep

      The following product exclusions apply:

      All Apple Products
      Gaming Consoles
      Pre-Order Products
      Clearance items
      Gift Cards
DeLonghi Eletta Explore Fully Automatic Coffee Machine Grey ECAM45055G (9901050930)

    • Officeworks has now price matched Big W $699 so can't price beat.

EXTRA15 code has been disabled for gaming consoles! Stingy.

  • Got this price-matched this morning at $684 bringing it down to $649, knew it wouldn't last.
