  • It's only 1 cent more that Reddy Express discount and all the BP prices that I've seen are more expensive.

    • I've been getting 10% off at reddy express via gift cards + 8c off/L (flybuys/afl), which is often cheaper than costco.

      • Is the 10% from the previously Samsung wallet promotion?

        • Previous deals, such as the up bank deals, google play store deals, and other deals like shopback

      • How do you get 8c off, i thought it's only 4c discount?

        • 4c off from $30 spend at coles
          4c off from the AFL app

          it stacks hence 8c/L discount

  • Hmm it says "you're not eligible for CommBank Yellow right now" ?

  • I just registered in my CBA app and have received a barcode. 9c/L is a handy discount, especially as I don't have any other eligible offers with other companies.

    • Don't need a discount if others are already 10c cheaper

  • For those with EVs there is a 10% off at BP Pulse chargers offer as well.

    • Cost is way higher than e.g. Exploren or Tesla even after discount

      • Still useful to some as during busy times you won't have much choice. I personally don't mind spending a little more for a faster charger with better availability than waiting for hours in the queue at a 50kw charger.

        • True but the price difference is huge… 84c last time I looked. vs 60c or less at Tesla

  • BP's in my area are still more expensive with a 9 cents discount than other fuel suppliers undiscounted prices.

  • BP is pretty cheap in Adelaide, but can I still get Qantas points through BP Rewards?

    • Same question. The barcode is in the commbanl yello app, so is that connected to my bp rewards (which is connected to my qantas points) or do i need to scan both?

      • both the barcode numbers are the same for me in bpme and commbank app.

    • This offer doesn't work in SA as there are no BP Rewards Unlocked sites. Just regular BP rewards sites that gets you your Qantas points.

  • How does the pay with your CommBank card work? Surely the discount would show once you scan the barcode so can they restrict payment method from that point? Curious if it would still work if you paid the rest with gift cards to maximise the benefits? Or pay with gift cards and leave a small amount of the balance for the CommBank card? Its not a cashback deal like their previous offers so it must be done on the BP side right?

    • I am not sure whether it is actually a requirement for this offer.

      If you look at the offer terms and conditions posted on the CommBank website, it does not say anything about having to use a CommBank card to pay for your fuel. Instead, it says eligible payment methods are:

      • cash;
      • credit and debit bank issued cards that are accepted at the BP Rewards Unlocked Fuel Offer Site (as applicable);
      • BP Gift Card; and
      • when you redeem your BP Points for Dollars Off at BP, or when you use Qantas Points to pay.

      The only payment methods listed as ineligible are:

      • BP Plus;
      • Motor Pass Cards;
      • Motor Charge Cards;
      • Fleet Cards;
      • Distributor Cards;
      • On the Run App;
      • BP Plus App; and
      • Pay with BPme.
      • Will have to test but yeah maybe they just copied the format from the previous cashback deals so it left it in as a step?

    • I can confirm you do not need to use CBA card to pay. The discount comes up before payment, as soon as you scan the BP rewards barcode provided that you at the participating location.

  • Please check petrol prices at - petrol spy.com.au
    then do the basic maths to see if its cheaper than Costco, Reddy Express etc….

    For example - 01.10.2026
    Costco Ardeer Melbourne - depending on suburb / state
    98 petrol = 244.7
    91 petrol = 222.7

    BP - Doncaster Melbourne - depending on suburb / state
    98 petrol = 251.9
    91 petrol = 229.9

  • Them dine in deals are pretty good some local places are 40% to dine in but im unable to add my card

    • Be careful of hidden fees that may occur after you pay.

      • Yeh theres a surcharge using the service my card worked in the end what are hidden fees are you referring to seems to good to be true at some places

  • I got 10% off ev charging instead :/

    • I got both. Check all the offers not just the promoted ones.

      • Nah. Not there. Plenty other crap I’ll never use though lol

      • Got
        It now

  • What a jip I didn't get this and I missed the deadline to cash out my rewards points instead of going to the stupid Yellow perks

    • looks like there are more giftcards atleast now :)

      • Yeah, heaps more. Including BP cards again.
        Worse rate than before but still better than cash back on your credit card.

  • I have a question about how BP verifies the eligible CommBank card.
    I currently get 7¢/L off at BP through Uber Gold, and that discount can be used with any bank card and it isn’t restricted to Commonwealth Bank cards.
    At the BP checkout, I scan my BP Rewards card first, and the POS then asks me to apply the available discount before I make the payment. I can then pay with any bank card.
    So with this CommBank Yello offer, how does BP make sure the payment is made with an eligible CommBank card? Does the POS verify the card during the payment process, or is there some other verification happening in the background?
    I’m just curious because the discount is applied before the payment is actually made.

    • My question is, does this CBA offer remove the Uber Pro offer from your BP rewards unlocked offers?

      • Good question. I used to activate the 10 cents off discount on BPme app. But I realized they only applied 7 cents off offer to that payment.

  • Q: I have a barcode now from Commbank after signing up - so which one I have to scan after filling up before payment? Barcode or my BP rewards barcode?

    Soz brain cooked after work

    • or both?

      • Looks like it the same barcode on your BP rewards lol

        • You are are legend. Just looked and it is. Ill just use the BP Rewards app to get my 9c and Qantas points to. Also a triple point offer for the month via the BP app. Brings 91 Unleaded down to 216.5 at my local.

  • OzFrugals

  • Don't forget to change your international purchases and auto debits away from CBA's products. As of today, they're charging a massive 3.5% fee for international transactions where previously it was 0%.

    • Are you sure? My CommBank Ultimate card page still says 0% international transaction fee.

    • This applies to the Smart awards card. Ultimate still has 0%.

  • I am Yello Gold tier but cannot see this offer, is it targeted?

    • Seems to be offered to “Yello Plus” - second tier customers

      • I have Gold tier and got this offer.

        • I have Gold and did not get this offer.

      • I have Yello Plus and I did not receive this. I think it's targeted

  • The question is, does it stack with the AGL BP 4c offer.

    • It removes it.

  • As someone who worked at BP until very recently, I am 100% sure there is no verification step to ensure you pay with your CommBank card. You scan your bp rewards barcode (either from the CommBank or bpme app it's the same barcode) and the discount will appear as an offer you have to accept on the EFTPOS terminal once the cashier sends the transaction from the POS to the EFTPOS. Rewards points will be earned just like any transaction and you can activate triple points offers etc. The 9c discount will not stack with any other fuel discount offer available online or in store (eg the 8c discount they try to trick you into by buying 2 bottles of water or chocolates). If you have the Uber offer already you would have to deactivate it and use this one instead but would lose access to the other perks Uber offers like half price coffees, $1 water etc.

    Also, this offer will not work at every BP, only the ones that are company owned and operated. You can check online to see if your local accepts BP Rewards Unlocked which this deal falls under (not the same as accepting plain old BP rewards).

    • Did you read the post above yours? He explained it well.

  • No such offer on mine. This is targeted?

  • I was able to claim this but want to share the barcode with the wife.
    Screenshots are blocked in the app apparently. Anyone know a way of sharing the barcode?

    • Make a loyalty card by taking a photo of the barcode

    • try the bpme app

      • bpme app also doesn't allow screenshots :(

        Maybe it will let me log in on 2 different phones though

  • Does is works at BP EV charghers too? :)

    • Yes there is a different code in the app for BP EV also

  • BP Ultimate is the best fuel available for performance cars.

    This is quite the deal.

    • Electricity is the best fuel for real performance cars

      • Not for petrol engines..

  • 9c reward received and paid with 7-11 gift card, no issues. They do process discount before you pay, so no need to use CommBank card.
