      You really don't, there's better options from more bespoke manufacturers in China, and better ways to scale up, and all of this is assuming you have the DAC and amp that make a HE6 shine.

      The Arya Stealth is more or less a sidegrade for you - especially if you EQ - and one that can be demoed in most capital cities.

      If you want to stick with Hifiman, wait for the Arya Unveiled or HE6 Remastered to crash down in price.

          If you have Clears, these will be underwhelming. Wait for a deal on the Organics if you want to add hifiman planars.

          No, and you're starting to best the HD 800S in value at its sale price ($1200ish) these days. The other options won't sound as wide usually, but they will be more resolving and typically holographic.

        Thanks, jasswolf. I'm kinda addicted to the HE6's sound signature. I've never set foot in $3k+ headphone territory. The HE6 Remastered is really tempting to me, but I'll have to wait for it to go on sale.

          Yeah, not sure why they are recommending headphones that are 6x the price of this Hifiman Arya… they would need a ridiculous price drop and even then you'll pay more than double. Although not the Arya, I have both the HE1000 stealth and HE6se V2 and I enjoy both for their strengths. I think the Arya would be a nice addition to a HE6se without breaking the bank. The Arya is especially useful if you need an easier to drive headphone on a lower end amp/dac.

    I always wanted Aryas. I've had a OzBargain Search subscription on for them for years. Got some in the last deal (along with a Fiio K13 R2R) upgrading from Anandas and Topping A50/D50 stack.

    I didn't want to love the upgrade but…it's simply amazing

    I'd argue it's diminishing returns as the Ananda/Topping combo worked really well before but this is still a huge positive change and one I'm very very glad I did.

      plan to upgrade K13 R2R but EQ and ifi go bar with xbass did a great job. I don't know should I buy K13 R2R for 300 2nd hand.

        Depends what you're wanting the K13 to be. It's slightly warmer sounding. I am also not a big EQer and prefer to take the native sound as is so YMMV. I have active speakers too as well as two pairs of headphones plugged in so I wanted the option of line- and pre-outs as well as headphone amp and it being switchable (it wasn't on my previous setup)
