Civilization VI at 1/10 th of the price. Affordable enough for me.
Expand your empire, advance your culture and go head-to-head against history’s greatest leaders, blah blah, blah, let's just get to the game play.

Bye free time.
Good deal, personally think V is better though
Civ III the best! Love both though
Im with you, Civ III is my favorite as well.
I tried to start a game with VI several times and I never could play it long until i was exhausted :D
Recently cranked up V again after a long stint with VI. Love it wayyy more.
Districts and loyalty annoy me a bit.
Can't believe there's anyone left who doesn't already own Civ VI.
Never played any of them ever, if I was to pick one to try, what do you recommend?
Civ IV - its the peak of the Sid Meier's 4X series and it has a tonne of mods still being crafted and maintained to this day.
In the steam version of Civ IV, you get 3 games I think. You will want to start 'Beyond the Sword' which is the latest fully vanilla version.
I don't have it. If you have Civ IV, you just don't need it :)
Having said that, I'm a fully paid up zero day purchaser of Civ V… and I think I have 65 hours up on that game. I have something like 3500 hours on Civ IV. Civ V, even with all the DLC's, is just a trash tier 4X game. They really changed the formula with V unfortunately.
All in my humble opinion ofcause :)
Check your Epic Games library. The Platinum Edition of the game was available for free last year: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/914758
Wot, no Pirates!?
Ahoy me matey, fitgirl repacks for that. Three sheets to the wind, Dead men tell no tales. Shiver me timbers!
IMO, at this stage, if the full pack of game+dlcs isn't discounted it's not worth it.
Meh, I paid $5.29 for this last year from cdkeys
As someone more casual I find Civ VI a bit too granular, particularly having to strategically place your districts and manually choose each tile improvement for workers.
