  • This or Flint 2?

      • Thank you.

I had concluded the same but your comment and the upvotes have solidified the opinion.

  • HODL for 9300 imo, get the full speed out of fancy wifi 7 cards

Quick search it’s only like $20-30 USD more and AU stock

    • Nah, I’d rather HODL for flint 4 with mediatek chipset and 10gbe ports

      • Even better

At least 9300 is the start though imo, no point less when most wifi 7 cards will do 9300.

  • Amazon cheaper now for this router at $176.79 prime deal.

    • $50 more for 9300

Such a waste getting 6500 when wifi cards can do 9300 MLO

      • Will this mesh with another?

        • Lots of dev getting done for mesh. I believe our will be coming soon

        • It’s my understanding they run a version of DD-WRT, so it may not yet but may with firmware update in the future

Mercysus has a be9300 mesh kit for around a similar price per unit, but it’s not that great of a brand tbh

  • is the flint 2 like the gtx 1080 ti?

  • Great modems, but make sure you back up the config before doing a firmware update.

Spent 4 hours yesterday recreating my entire network because the router lost all config settings when it did a firmware update. My own fault for not backing the config up before clicking update!

  • The Flint 3 is a skip. If you need a good, cheapish router now, go for the Flint 2.

The Flint 4 looks like it may be worth it though. 10 ports two of them 10gig (one sfp one ethernet) 4 2.5gig, 4 1gig. I am considering upgrading just so I can have a 10gig uplink to the NAS. I dont really need it, but I want it.

  • Have they sorted out the mesh yet?

  • Flint 2 is probably the better device. Flint 4 is the better of the lot. Mesh has come to Flint 4 too. I have working over flesh to my Slate 7 and Beryl AX to test it all.
