====== Disaster Relief ======


Australians are a funny bunch.  We pride ourselves on our individuality and our stoicism under pressure, yet whenever there's a disaster we often pull together to help each other and our communities.  And make no mistake, this country sees its fair share of disasters every year: bushfires, cyclones, floods, droughts, earthquakes - about the only thing we don't see are avalanches (well, there //was// [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1997_Thredbo_landslide|Thredbo in 1997]]...).

Something that's become popular on OzBargain is posting of offers of relief to victims and volunteers affected by disaster.  This page is dedicated to collating deals and forum posts from across the site to bring relief information for an event into one convenient place.  If you see something that belongs here then please create a link to it, whether you see it in the deals pages or in the forums.  Create a new heading for each event and start putting links under that.  If the page grows too large then perhaps in the future they can be split off into pages of their own.
