If you're shopping for camping gear, there are a number of great areas where you can visit multple camping stores on foot.

Sydney's Kent Street has multiple stores. Simply exit from the bottom end of Town Hall Station and walk on foot up and down Kent Street. Shops include: Kathmandu, Paddy Pallin, Macpac, Five05, Trek n Travel, Mountain Designs (tucked behind Kathmandu - hard to spot), Adventure Megastore

Canberra's Lonsdale St is a short walk from the Canberra Shopping District in Civic. Shops on the street contain Mountain Designs, Paddy Pallin, Macpac, Snowgum and a few small ski equipment stores

Kathmandu is located in the canberra centre (near JB hifi)


Memberships

Most chain camping stores have membership (which is usually free) and entitles you to a minimum of 10% off store wide.

Anaconda's “Adventure Club” is free and has some special deals (see link below).
