There are a lot of cheap hotels in Las Vegas however to save you on transport costs and time, you want to stay in centrally on the Las Vegas strip. Mid week rates tend to be a lot cheaper than weekends.

• Priceline - Utilizing Betterbidding.com, you can bid on hotels.
• Vacation Rental By Owner Rent hotel rooms, apartments, houses, etc. directly from the owner. Generally more availability than AirBNB, cheaper than hotel booking sites and avoids paying resort fees.

Most hotels charge a daily resort fee which can be anywhere from $15 to $35 per day. Remember to include this in total costs when comparing hotel prices.

• Tip the check-in person Tip $20 and ask for an upgrade to the room.
• Sign up to the hotel's rewards program which often gets you free wi-fi, upgrades etc.
• Ensure that when you book and you're on a Honeymoon, note this in the comments. Bring a copy of your Marriage certificate (or just a picture of it on your phone). If you use a travel agent, ensure they note it. Vegas is one of the easiest places to get an upgrade if you're on a honeymoon.
