      • +6

I came here for the computer alliance bargains.

I leave unfulfilled and with a deep sadness.

      • +1

How to stop them from jacking……..

      • -1

I came here to tell everyone I'm jacking up my prices 😂😂

      • +1

        I am not here… or am I?

      • I came here so I could type this comment.

    No computer alliance, no deal!

    • +4

Sorry, just want to get the 2 most important comments out of the way first :)

Happy deal hunting with the price jacking all :)

    • Is there a reason why you want them over anyone else?

      • I want to be first over everything :)

        • look at the bright side mate ~_~!

      • +2

        no jacking off

        • +3

          @camshandez:

they dont get away with anything, as its paypal offers the 20%, you get refunded what you paid (20% less of the price) and that was the amount the seller is got from you initially. so nobody is benefiting from it.

        • +1

          @nelga:

If I were you, I would, in ebay, submit a request for a refund (due to whatever reason), and they have to cough out the amount again. If it's not through ebay, it's not refunded. I might be wrong though.

        • +1

@nelga: When a promotional discount is applied against an eBay order the order has to be refunded via PayPal for the actual amount paid. There was nothing dodgy about how it was refunded. They can't refund you money they haven't received.

So I guess another round of TV promos coming up?

    Nice

  • +35

I'm slowly getting tired of the 20% sales posted here on Ozbargain. How are they 'Bargains' in themselves? Especially if the seller increases the prices? It's giving a lot of people the wrong impression.

    • +7

they do it for the upvote lol

      • +44

I'm getting tired of members whinging about the 20% off sales.

        • +32

I'm quickly getting tired of members whinging about all the whinging going on here!

        • +8

@idonotknowwhy: What about the whingers whinging about the whingers. How hypocritical!

        • +5

I'm getting tired of constantly being poor but wanting to buy more.

        • +3

I'm only 20% tired of reading the moaning

        • +1

I’m getting tired reading about members getting tired.

        • +1

@idonotknowwhy: Whingepool got some competition :D

        • +3

I’ve been looking for love in all the wrong places…

    • +1

for the comments, can't you see :)

    • +1

im not sure about other sellers, but graysonline dont jack up prices,

so I always keep an eye on them

      • graysonline sell along the eBay promotional cycle. They have priced to make profits with a 20% discount. Then when eBay runs a promotion, they can still take 20% off without a hit to their margins.

grays set themselves to really sell volume when the sales are on. When the sales aren't off, they're making top shelf cream.

    • +1

One ends, another starts, prices permanently jacked.

    • so this is top of front page because. people don't realise nobody cares about this permanent non deal. heaps of places have 50% an overpriced rrp.

i think there needs to be a rule where there needs to be a tangable deal in the post ie. an item that can be compared with the going rate/price history to prove it is a deal.

    • +1

Because sellers increasing the prices isn't nearly as widespread an issue as everyone here makes it out to be, especially when the discount is 20%. Just use the provided search box on the sale page for what you want. If it's cheaper on eBay, buy it, if not, then don't.

    • -1

To put it more accurately, it's losing its attractiveness. It's mainly to get "web traffic", similarly to "foot traffic" in a shopping mall. Last time I wasted a few hours on eBay finding nothing.

It's ok for people having time or lots of time.

I gave up. Sometimes there is a deal with limited stock coming up, it's not worth it.

      Just my 2cents

  • +1

All these ebay 'deals' and I'm just all… but why?

  • +19

These ebay deals remind me of the House store near my place. Have been seeing 70% OFF sign every time I walk by, for the last few years.

    • True. I don't even bother walking in there anymore.

    • +6

Bit like rugs a million, Always closing warehouses

      Men in Black

      • I can't wait until they close all their warehouses. Their ads are so annoying.

        "Minimum 90% off!!!"

  • Can anyone let me know if I can search for the new A7iii from the sale stores?

  • +7

    Search link please!

  • +12

It seems that eBay is forever 20% off.. if u buy at normal price means paying 20% higher? Hehe

    • no, it's only 20% higher after they jack the price but you forget to put the code in.

    • Actually it would mean you'd be paying 25% higher ;)

  • +56

Search link. Double checked this time to make sure it's right.

    • +2

You do great work with these search links, thank you for your contribution!

    • +1

👌Thanks buddy..Great work.. Will update in the description 👍

    • +1

      Thanks Blazin!

    • +1

      Dude !

    • How do you use it? I follow the link and enter my search at the end of the search bar after all the sellers but the amount of items didn't change from 836000

      • Were you doing it on mobile? Try another browser and see if the same thing happens. The main link from eBay is now live so you can go here and search too

      • arghhh thats so annoying!

  • Come on Allphones don't jack your Huawei Mate 10, beat your otherstore 10% off from Mobilcity

    • They don’t have to price jack as they’re permanently in these sales.

      • Mobilcity is not on the list how strange?

  • -5

    Price jack….. Price jack… :P

  • +5

They should have a Price Jack Off Competition.

    • They'd win because they're really good at jacking off.

  • +3

    Jack where are you?

    • +2

      At Hill with Jill

      • +4

Yep! That's my reason for going on living

      • +1

Does that mean they will start paying you to buy something on their 101st birthday onwards?

    • 18th birthday is in september and we'll have to hope that they get the marketing budget to fund the sale.

  • no tgg. no Harvey, no teds, so much for a better deal on the canon 800d.

  • +9

I prefer the 20% off sales from The Good Guys.
