PS: This has a lot of good sellers this time.

    • +2

      Which are the good ones?

      • Depends on what you're after. For me, Dell, Sony, Futu, PC Byte, and Grays among others.

        • +7

          Grays suck.

        • +35

Pretty sure Futu and Pc Byte have been caught out a bazillion times jacking it up.

As usual, the herd will upvote and pump and dump this 'deal'

        • For Futu and PC Byte - I have definitely found things items of theirs not jacked, and were cheaper than everywhere else. Not 20% cheaper than lowest price elsewhere, but certainly cheapest available.

        • +7

Futu and pc byte price jack

        • +5

Futu pricejack and their service is a disgrace.

        • +4

you high? Futu and PC Byte price jack EVERYTIME!

        • I have had positive experiences with "Dell, Futu, PC Byte, JW Computers and Video Pro", but know your prices.

        • +8

          @tightm8:

Yep! I agree with price jacking from Futu and PC Byte! Out of spite and disgust I never buy from them and don't even look at them now… Terrible practice.

        • +1

@mooboy: they’re in these sales all the time so their prices are permanently jacked.

        • +1

          @mooboy:
          ^THIS.
This is why they think its acceptable to price jack - because people still buy from them…

        • +4
        • @mixxer:

          Yikes!
          Greedy, dishonest assclowns.

I went to get the SteelSeries Nimbus controller. It got price-jacked from $75 upto $90.
With eBay paying 20% of the money to SydneyTec, it costs buyers $72.

        • @mixxer:

Added them to the list of boycott!

        • @Tuhan:

          Same

    • +10

      No Computer Alliance though :(

    • +4

      I like these sales, but with that code I couldn't resist;

Pump up the price, pump it up
      While your browsin'
      And the ACCC are sleepin'
Look here the crowd are buyin'
Pump it up a little more

      Make my day
      Make my day
      Make my day
      Make my day

For the young ones, sung to Technotronic's pump up the jam.

      • Lol I laughed

    • If they're a real ozbargainer. They should know theaverage price before sales.

      • The Unprofessionals exist. Should we bubble wrap them or laugh at them? :)

    • Inb4 "price jacking" comments show up.

      Ohh the irony.

  • +9

    Déjàvu…

    • +24

Some people here don't even know the difference between your and you're whereas you spelt Déjàvu using all the proper accents.

      Have a +1.

      • +6

        you mean most people, right?
Then cue the "grammar police" excuse to justify their lack of knowledge in basic English grammar.

      • +1

        your sew rite m8

      • Why have we become fussy over grammar? It used to be just primary school teachers, and they just got a lot of eye rolling.
This is the only place I see discussions interrupted with grammar lessons. Are there a bunch of primary school teachers on ozbargain?

I've never seen a bit of poor grammar interfere with finding a bargain,.

        • +3

All you need to get upvoted around here is to get you're accents right.

          Pity correct spacing is ignored.

        • @tranter:

I see what you did they're.

  • Moto G5 Plus will be $320 from allphones for the 32BG 4GB-RAM version, which isn't all that bad. Apart from that, I don't think there is any outstanding mobile phone deals on there.

So I continue to search for a past years upper mid range phone for a budget price

    :(

    • +1

Isn't that model $324 at Good Guys and Officeworks right now, and cheaper options for non local stock? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/369854

      • +1

Yeah, or $307.80 with PULL5 code via TGG eBay store.

        It's $328 at Allphones eBay.

        • OW ebay is currently out of stock and also is the 32GB/3GB model. TGG ebay has stock but not sure which ram model.

        • @ozhunter68:

          As they are G5S Plus, it's 32GB/3GB.

Sorry was replying to Carydadon with the G5S Plus link, not datzed who originally mentioned G5 Plus.

        • @hamza23:

All good. Mine was just a general comment to Carydanon above. Like always, the devil is in the details.

      • The officeworks model there is the G5S.

Yes its only one letter, but its pretty quite a different phone (bigger size). But I appreciate the link.

    • What about Huawei Mate 10 pro it will be 20% off then it's a great price no?

  • +2

Holding out for a Bravia 9000E or 9300, ccmoonnn baby!

    • Go for 9300… Big difference, compare to 9000

  • +24

Someone make a search link, I cbf thanks

    • -4

Sorry, tried to but couldn't .. my computer only has 64GB of disk space so after the struggling of booting it up, making a search link is beyond impossible….

      • -1

Let the salt flow through you.

        • -4

          I wouldn't be human if I didn't.

Wow how did I post this reply, surely the 40GB I have free is not enough. I think your comment loaded but all I see is a useless sentence… must need to install a 1TB SSD to finally see the points in your comments.

          :'(

        • @StoneSin:

The fact you continue to carry on about this shows everyone how hard you're trying to convince yourself that you're "right".

        • -4

@nurries: How quickly you forget… hmmm

Maybe you need to install more storage in your brain? Or did you not order the petrabyte memory disk?

trying to convince yourself that you're "right".

It's impossible not to be right when stating a fact. It's very easy to be wrong, so convincing you is a tough task.

        • @StoneSin:

Facts are subjective unless backed up with solid evidence.

        • -2

          @nurries:

          Facts are subjective

This is never a fact. Hilarious how logic works sometimes.

      Your welcome

      • +13

        What about my welcome?

      • This item does not ship to Australia.

      • +2

        You're*

        • Your welcome was what?

        • -2

@Boodek: who cares about your or you’re language is all about getting your message across and as long as that’s fulfilled what does it matter.

        • +3

@Dusto: hence the need for proper spellings to make sure said message is not misunderstood.

        • -2

@simontadaa: but that just it if it is understood who cares how it’s conveyed. I’m not on Ozbargains to question people’s spelling, grammar or education.

        • +1

@Dusto: The message someone conveys by confusing your and you’re is that they can’t spell. Whatever they are trying to convey is lost.

        • +1

          @Dusto:
          amen

… You know we're going to get hated on big time for this, don't you?

        • +1

          @Usernames:

Seriously? You couldn't work that one out? Word used to have a paperclip that could do it.

Thank God our language has evolved to such a sophisticated level. You guys would really be screwed if we were trying to communicate with grunts and hand signals.

        • +1

@SlickMick: I just thought we all came here for bargains not to correct one and other about punctuation.

        • @SlickMick: Not seriously. Just saying it’s very annoying and distracting.

        • @Usernames:
Some of us find the off topic comments regarding grammar annoying and distracting.

          just say'n :)

      • Does it come with ear plugs?

  • I'm looking to build a 1.6k gaming pc - just the tower. Thinking about gtx 1060 or 1070. Any recommendations ?

    • +2

Check out the PCbyte builds. I got a 1080 build that was 1.4k and added a few other hdd, ssd and ram upgrades that brought it to about 1.6k.

      • +2

Awesome, thanks both I will look into it further!

      • +1

I'm looking at buying one of their pre builds right now, have you had any problems with it or has everything gone well?

        • It went well for me. All arrived ready to go within the working week. Just need to remove some packing material, install an OS and it's good to go. I think some people reported slower delivery but that with the first 20% off sale when demand was high.

    • +3

Why not build it yourself? It's easier than assembling some IKEA furniture.

      • +2

because buying the parts separately is more expensive?
