I did this and re-paired the scooter with the official Segway App and now it works fine with both apps. Bought today, firmware 1.51
Took 2mins to change the serial to a global one. 35kmh unlocked!
Ended up getting one from Jb-Hifi. Firmware was still 1.51. Will do some reading on how to unlock!
