UNLIMITED $0.98 Domain Registrations at NameCheap for .me Top-Level Domains

100

On the front page of NameCheap at the moment, there is a link to register a .me domain for only 98 cents. I discovered that you can add a domain to your cart and then simply return to the front page, click the link again and add another domain. I have registered about 15 .me domains so far. :-D Thought I would share the love with my Ozbargain friends.

Here is some information from Wikipedia about the top-level .me domain:
By 2010, over 320,000 .me domains had been purchased, making it the fastest-selling top-level domain in history.
By the end of 2011, the number of purchased .me domains rose to 586,302.
By the end of 2012, number of .me registrations went up again by 15% to 661,218.

They also have a coupon for cheap .com / .org / .net registrations at the moment: SUMMERSMASH

Mod: Removed affiliate code in link.

Yeah that's right. Though after the first year you can ditch it if you don't use it.

Also, you can find some coupons at Godaddy for the second year if you wanna still get some bargains.

        • $18.99/yr full price after 1 year.

      • maybe you should edit the headline?

  • Why is this taking me to an affiliate page?

    http://www.namecheap.com/?aff=52091

The normal home page (www.namecheap.com) is the exact same page, so assuming it's an affiliate link anyways?

    • Yes. Is that a problem?

      • Pretty sure you have to declare that you are using aff link when posting the deal.

No one have problem with it, but it's more of a being transparent kind of thing :)

        • Oh okay, no worries. Thanks for letting me know.

  • Well apart from namecheap, I think Gandi had a massive giveaway (free) of .me's a couple of months (or a year ago), hence it's the fastest moving domain ext. Lots of freebies and giveaway's for the domain.
