YourHomeDepot - Cuisinart 4 Slice Belgian Waffle Maker $59 Click + Collect Syd Melb or $7.50 Shipping

180

Noticed this 4 slice waffle maker on sale - RRP is $119 and second cheapest is Victoria's basement at $89.

As an owner of a basic moulinex 2 slice waffle maker for more than 15 years, the waffle maker is one small appliance that gets used the most frequently. Waffles for breakfast, waffles for dessert (add ice cream + sauce)… just one of those things that you can make easily. We usually just make the batter and leave it in the fridge overnight, and have waffles for breakfast for the next few days. Since 1 slice is hardly enough for 2 people, I would recommend a 4 slice maker unless you live alone. If my waffle maker wasn't still going strong, I'd jump on this deal!

The model number '46946' on yourhomedepot matches the WAF-150A on the Cuisinart website. Great reviews on amazon and productreview. See also the feefo reviews on the product page on yourhomedepot.

If you're in Sydney or Melbourne, you can click and collect for free, otherwise it's $7.50 shipping. If your order is above $150, you can also get free shipping.

If you're new to the site, you sign up for the newsletter to get a $10 off code. The code can be used on orders above $75, so you'll need to add $6 worth of stuff to get you over the min order. Credit to aaronbaron and matthewli88

Update 19 jan 2016: Price dropped from $69 to $59.

  • I've been eyeing a good iron of for years! Now are there any deals on blue food dye? ;)

  • I have a 2 slice maker ……takes up less room when not being used….inner city space is expensive

  • I bought a cheap Big W one for $15. Problem was when the batter rises, the top plate lifts on the hinge giving me a 'wedged' waffle with half the top being overcooked and the other half undercooked. I'm guessing this one has some fancy mechanics to stop that happening?

    • The top plate also lifts for my old waffle maker, but it still cooks nicely - lightly browned on the outside and cooked on the inside. Maybe the Big W one gets too hot :(

Edit: And the waffles kinda of shrink back to their flat shape after they're removed from the maker.

    • +1

That cheapo one at Big W is currently $7.50

  • If you subscribe to their newsletter, you get a $10 off voucher, but only if you spend more than $75. Not sure if you can include shipping in the $75.

    • Can someone confirm the usage of the $10 voucher? I subscribed but didn't get one, probably because I've already got an account with them.

      • Voucher didn't work for me with only the shipping inclusive price. However there are a couple cheap items in there that will get you an additional $8 to get you over the $75 threshold, but if shipping is only $7.50 you might be better off just copping the shipping costs (unless you really need a pot mitt and a knife sharpener).

        • Ok thanks, I'll update the deal post with that info.

        • @moocher:
how long does it take to get the voucher code?

        • @cjb: I didn't manage to get one because I'm an existing customer.

        • @cjb: Voucher came up for me immediately.

  • IT may be better to sign up a new letter to get 10$ off (new account only). I was a bit late and someone already mentioned.

    THANK YOU!!!

Just ordered it and added a $8 purchase on top and used the $10 voucher.

Will pick up from Castle Hill.

    YAY!!!!

    • SAME!

    • Update: picked up today and the staff were super friendly and told me a few people were picking these up.

Just noticed on the site its gone down to $59, no big deal since I'm already making delicious waffles…. NOM NOM NOM

      • Was that in sydney? Melbourne have been useless. Apparently I wasnt the only person from Ringwood there to pick up and left disappointed…

  • Was just about to buy a breville waffle maker from Myer - now i cant decide :s

    • If you are really after the heart shape ones I suppose. I like the rectangular shape because I can even pre-cook extra waffles for friends to take home so that they can pop them into the toaster like a slice of bread.

      • good point, i dont care about the shape - just keen for a maker that is easy to use and clean. Both get good reviews. I just remembered i have a $50 myer voucher lying around somewhere so i better try and find it.

        • actually non straight-edge shaped makers will be better

    • I have this waffle maker and although it is fine, my sister has the cuisinart and it shits all over the breville!! Well worth the extra $$ - in fact, i just bought one!

  • If you are in WA. Kambo's Retravision have a cost price plus $1 sale on at the moment.

I picked up one of these from there for $69. No postage and immediatley available. :)

    • Thanks for the tip, sounds tempting! I had a look online at Kambo's and there was no info about the sale on the website. Did you buy one and which store did you try?

      • Most welcome. I got it from Kambo's Malaga - just this weekend. It was in the paper and on the tv, hopefully it hasn't ended yet. You could call the stores and ask.

As for this waffle maker, it's great. I bought a cheap Target one and hated it. They were too thin and never cooked evenly. You can't go wrong here. 3 year warranty too!

Here's a recipie I used and it turned out great:

  • I just received the welcome email but no $10 voucher for me. I wonder why. Anyone know ?

    • Same for me!

I got that Cuisineart Waffle maker - love it. Would not swap to another brand. The included precipices are also not bad. (only for my figure)
