I had a need to get a canvas print, did a search, found a bunch of expired deals. Went to set an alert, but clicked through on an old deal to see what the print size looked like. Discovered the deal from February was back on. Credit to Baltoski for the deal I was looking at: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/235233 and for the line: "There's no delivery charge if you pick up in store (takes around 10 days to be delivered to the store you nominate after placing your order)."

Other sizes are on sale too, but nothing as discounted as the 20"x40" panorama:

    For those that didn't know (me) its 50 cm high and 100cm long.

    Any idea on the resolution?

      Wicked, for a moment I thought it was 50cm long and 100cm high and I would have to find some way to turn it 90 degrees…

      I've ordered several from Big W before. Resolution depends on your image size/quality, but I believe it will prompt you if it thinks the photo will lose resolution when blown up to the particular size. Big W also use Fujifilm prints, which are very high quality. No issues with it coming out darker or brighter than intended.

      For people ordering, keep in mind that this is panoramic, i.e. a lot of photos you take may not suit this 'framing' unless you specifically take a photo with the intention for it to me a panorama. In the past I felt that my photo looked a lot better with the extra height, and opted for the 75H x 100W when it was discounted. I think I paid $79 when on sale.

      I'd say aim for 200ppi or higher (so 8000x4000) and you'll easily have enough. The texture of the canvas doesn't let you see higher than that anyway.

      And don't forget that the edges of your image are going to be wrapped round the sides, so make sure nothing critical is on those edges.

        He asked it on the previous deal and got answered by a photography person. He's just being a tool, or subtly humorous. I'm still on the fence. If he was just trying to be helpful, he'd just explain why instead of asking it again.

    Got one of these printed about 3 years ago. It's hanging outside, undercover, in my bar. Still hasn't dropped any colour.

    These canvas prints are absolutely brilliant.

    Hunt down high resolution images online (minimum 4000x2000) and upload for a cheap work of art which would set you back hundreds in a gallery.

        I just use google images and search for the type of photo I want - landscapes or mountains or waterfalls or whatever. Then you limit googles results to high resolution images.

      Probably but I'm not sure how effective they would be at increasing acoustics.

          These are effectively a speaker cover with slightly heavier cloth so I doubt they will make much of a difference unless you packed the void with foam.

          They'll make nice frames for acoustic deadeners, but you'll need to put some sort of insulation or baffle inside them for the actual deadening.

    Received my canvas last week, very pleased. This is the second Big W canvas I've purchased, each time just using a high resolution wallpaper I liked. Wallpapers with a 'painted' look turn out well.
