  • For those lonely OzB nights JV? ;)

  • Any recommendations, jv?

    • +10

      Yep, use 2 credit cards

      • +2

        Solid advice.

It's a good deal for those that borrow DVDs, but seriously, do people still do this?
I don't even have a DVD drive on my laptops anymore.

but seriously, do people still do this?

      yep

There always has to be one, doesn't there?

      Apple iTunes - $5.99
      Google Play - $5.99
      Video Ezy Dk - $0-$2

maybe, just maybe, you shouldn't have been so quick to give up on optical media?

      • +5

Not just the price, too: these kiosks are the only place to rent blu-rays, blu-rays are still the best sound and image quality.

Anyone with a decent home theatre sees a pretty big difference between even 1080p blu-ray and lesser formats (like 4K streaming on a good internet connection).

        • +2

          Yep.

I do wish they would carry more Blu Rays and even some 4K disks though. There must be enough Xbox owners to make that viable.

            Freebies are viable?

            • +1

              @jv: I meant carrying 4K disks.

Don't know anyone with a 4K Blu Ray player, but plenty with the relevant Xbox.

      • Indeed! every time. Go to any Videoezy post and he's there!

      • I gave on optical media in 09

    • Came here looking for this comment. There's one of them on every VideoEzy bargain post.

  • Code expires tomorrow.

    • Yes, that's in the post…

So you can take advantage of the cheaper Tuesday prices… Normally, the freebies don't include Tuesdays…

      • Good point about the $2 Tuesdays, 2 free movies tomorrow using this code.

  • Anyone know with these kiosks - can you rent in the evening say after 7pm and get an 'extra' night (i.e. not much time left to watch it that day)?

    • Nope. Due back by 9pm next day regardless of the time you hire it.

How long can I keep my rental?
All rentals are due back the next day by 9pm, or by the closing time of the premises the Kiosk is located. You can also find the return time and due date on your receipt that is emailed to you.

  • Just tried the code. Doesn’t work. Unless it’s just the machine itself

    • It's in their newsletter… I'm, in Vic

      • Only works in VIC, does it work in NSW?

        • does it work in NSW?

          No idea…

Maybe someone can try it and let us know…

          • +1

@jv: I got the email too and yes it works in NSW

  • +4

Upvote because if it's good enough for jv, it's good enough for me.

  • +2

Was gonna ask "How much is it normally?" but JV had that question covered. Well played.

  • Since when the rental fee goes up?

Microsoft Word would have a field day here, just saying.

    • Thanks, I'll add it to the description…

Thanks JV, hoping MI6 comes out soon.

  • Shame there's none in Melb CBD. Probably a calculated decision to save money e.g. rent, ozbargainers smashing the discount codes etc

  • $5 on the smallest machine and $2 on the largest screened machine. Weird hey.
