Does this work with ShopBack's 18%?

    • +2

Uhhhh… no? It's an exclusive code so that'll never work with SB.

      • Why the attitude to a genuine question? You were nice enough to clarify, I'm sure you're not that abrasive :)

        • +3

Sorry I made the assumption that it would have been obvious. A custom coupon made for one cashback company with their name isn't going to work with a competitor.

          • +2

@Clear: Seems a fair few were in a similar position, we may think it's a fairly straight forward offer but there's always people that may not understand.

            • @FlatulentFrank: That's true. I understand affiliate networking inside out while the average Joe does not.

    • I've seen reports on other sites that this is working. At least it's tracking as working. But you may not get the eventual cash back via SB.

      • A tracked purchase is no guarantee of cashback. Stores can and will reject payment if a code that belongs to another provider is used. This is clearly a code for Cashrewards and not Shopback. Is it really worth the risk of getting no cashback over an extra 3%? It's not in my opinion.

        • Hence why I clearly indicated:

"But you may not get the eventual cash back via SB."

          • -3

@DrRalph: That wasn't there in the original comment before you edited.

            • +2

@Clear: Incorrect. No such edit was made. Seems you didn't read the post properly.

You seem very upset by something, constantly seeing the need to neg every comment I make. But carry on if that sort of thing makes you happy.

I've better things to do and won't be trolled by you. I'll just use the block member feature.

    Shame they don't sell spirits

    • +12

Is a couple of wine packs with 'bonus' spirits. Either JW Black whisky or Tanqueray gin. $120 each after discount code.

      https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/mixed-cases/wine/10-stylish…

      https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/mixed-cases/wine/10-stylish…

Doing on phone so apologies for formatting.

      • +1

Cheers for this.ordered the gin pack. CB tracked at $18 - including GST. Total $102 for 10 reds + tanqueray gin

      • Decent wines too, I quite like the Wordsmith and the Stefano De Pieri. For $10 a bottle and free gin/whisky that's a bargain.

Shame I already used the code on something else!

edit: Code works multiple times. I'm gunna buy so much booze!

        • Wordsmith Shiraz?

          • @stockastics: Nah, comes with the cab sauv. If it was the shiraz this would be an absolute cracker of a deal.

            • +1
              • @stockastics: Good deal that one, in 3 months after the $18 is tracked that works out to be $102. Johnny Walker Black is like $40 and the gin is $40-$45. Don't drink wine but enjoy spirits, so I'll just gift the wine over the year. Is the wine good?

  • Also there isn't any restrictions on using the code on multiple orders

  • +1

Careful, I just put an order through and cash rewards appears to be tracking incorrectly.
Purchase was $220, cash rewards tracked at $9.09 ($10 ex GST) with a reward of $1.36?

I did use a cellarmasters giftcard for part of the transaction value, but this was fine last time unless something has changed recently?
I've put dozens of orders through cellar masters with cash rewards and gift cards, and never had this issue before… Anyone else having this issue or just me?

I was going to stock up, but not now.

    • +5

Msg cashrewards and get it sorted..

      • Yeah, I have submitted a ticket. Would have liked to place a few more orders, but without knowing if this is a one off issue it's not worth the risk.

        • Yeah, fair enough..it's substantial amount..

          • +4

@stockastics: I spent $1k black Friday on 4 different orders and all CR got cancelled.

The orders tracked the incorrect totals and the old %, I lodged inquiry and then they all just got cancelled with either paid with GC or different code not on cr.

Was pretty annoyed lost $200+ in cashbacks from CR, funny would have thought the same reply would have been sent but got different excuses.

fyi most the reply's goto spam/junk

            • @Geoff897: Oh man! That's terrible. I mostly use ShopBack and it's been great!

              • @stockastics: I had heaps of issues with shopback at the beginning, Not paying out and spent weeks emailing back and forth.

Might be worth giving shopback another go after this CR debacle.

                • @Geoff897: I am using SB app and haven't had an issue. Make sure you dont use and ad blocker.

    • I think gift cards are excluded:

Cashback is calculated based on purchase amount after any discounts & giftcard usage. Excludes taxes, fees and additional extras.

      • +5

You're right, this is what happened.
What is super annoying is that this morning before I clicked through from CashRewards to Cellarmasters is literally said:

"Want to save a further 5% on your booze? Purchase gift cards at 5% discount through Woolworths Gift Cards, then pay for your order with the cards."

I see now they have removed this on the landing page, but if you look on google cache it's still there.
This is very dodgy in my books - they should have been ahead of this and updated their landing page so people wouldn't go out of their way to purchase gift cards to save an extra 5%, and then miss out of the 15%!

  • 2 cases of sav blanch bought, cheers OP

  • +2

Amazing deal. So Basically $100 after cashback for 10 bottles of good red wine and a Johnny black.

    • Just wondering if your 15% cashrewards tracked correctly?

      • +1

Looks like cellarmasters has finally changed to provide the cashback based on the price after discount excluding GST; it was good while it lasted and was on the full pre-discount price.

        For me, two orders, cashback was based on $109.10 ($220 order before coupon, $16.36 cashback) and $112.74 ($224 order before coupon, $16.91 cashback). This amounts to the cashback being based on the discounted price ex-gst. e.g. ($220 - $100) * 10/11 = $109.10 (ex-gst price) * 0.15 (15% cashback) = $16.36 cashback

Both my orders tracked no problems

        • +1

Mine tracked at $18 - one order $220 before coupon. CB based on $120.

  • +1

Yes, my cash rewards tracked for $16.39.

  • Getting this at $250 a case + cashback is great value:

    https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/red/other-red-varietals/win…

    • Their price for the case seems inflated. Qantas Wines offer the same stuff at $40 a bottle or $480 a case. Cellarmasters say their case is $370 with $370 off. It doesn't appear to be worth $740 a case. I also can't really find much mention of this wine outside of those two sites so it doesn't appear to be very popular or known?

      • Cellarmaster do have a lot of their own wines, but I don't think this is one of those.

  • +1

I can confirm the $100 off cooupon code can be re-used. I just placed two separate orders and cashback was tracked instantly as well.
A great deal. The bundle of 10 premium reds with a JW black label for just over $100 is great as the scotch is normally over $40 alone ($220 - $100 then Cashrewards $16.36). So the premium reds work out to about $6 a bottle.

  • +2

Be aware of the exclusions for cash rewards. These are now being enforced. This deal for example, specifically excludes Penfolds and champagne.

    • Agreed CR are quite strick now. GC paying are out, Only listed coupons. Bought 3 or 4 orders last time and it tracked with incorrect cashback % asked for it to be adjusted and they cancelled everything with different answers of why they are not paying out.

    • Yep, feeling the burn.
Looks like I've lost out of the 15% due to giftcards.
They have updated it now, but this morning their website was promoting the use of Woolworths gift cards for an extra 5% off.

      https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/276299/75779/screensho…

      • But we did get the 5% off from the GC :) not a total loss. Big picture is we have heaps of nice wine.

  • +1

If you need some ideas of what to order:
$150 Zontes Footstep Baron Von Nemesis Barossa Shiraz (6-pack) 2017
$115 Hanging Rock Victoria Chardonnay 2019 (12 pack)
Discounted price is $165 or $9.16/btl which is pretty good for 6 Barossa Shiraz and a dozen easy drinking Chardy's for the wife.

  • +2

They'll spam the shit out of you with snail mail

    • +3

      Then use my address

    • Also spam calling. Though you can block their calls.

  • How long does it take for cashrewards to track ?

  • Is the pack with free Gin worth it? $44 value with Gin alone.

  • +1

I must have successfully opted out of their spam because I have made previous orders but get no spam. Maybe choosing BWS pickup means they don't send much snail mail either.

  • For those who like reds, I tried this pack last time and really really enjoyed it.

    https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/mixed-cases/wine/internatio…

    It’s discounted already from $313 to $241.
After the $100 discount and 15% cash back will make it $119.
    Or roughly $10 per bottle!

    • Would you say this is a good deal? (I don't drink wine at all) and will it last a while? I'm thinking of buying a 12 pack of something and using them as gifts throughout the year for birthdays etc. Lots of older people in my family enjoy wine and so do some work colleagues. Any better suggestion for my purpose?

      Cheers

      • Well, I bought the pack a second time. So I do think it’s a good deal.

I’m not a serious wine person, but I do enjoy drinking this range.

As gifts, I think you’ll be gifting ~$30 RRP bottle, which is decent in my opinion, but that’s a matter of what type of friends you have.

        • Was leaning towards the premium pack for $240 (6 bottles). Comes to about $119 after discount + cashrewards, so about $20 a bottle. Some of the bottles in the pack are RRP $40-$85, but I have no idea about wine. What do you think about that pick? Would be pretty happy getting away with some cheap $20 presents for people who will think I spent around $50 (boss, aunt etc).

          https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/mixed-cases/wine/premium-qu…

          • @AjsGuns: I’ve tried a couple and I think that’s a solid choice for presents too!

          • @AjsGuns: Everyone has a different taste. But your selection is solid for presents.

  • +2

Could someone please comment on the below bundle with free gin? How does this compare with the Stylish Reds one?
    https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/mixed-cases/wine/10-premium…

    • I'd like to know this too

      • I'm tossing up between the two but given the Stylish has:

        x4 Shiraz
        x2 Sangiovese
        x2 Cab Sav
        x2 Grenache

        and the Premium has:

        x6 Shiraz
        x2 Malbec
        x2 Cab Sav

I'm tempted to go with Stylish, the Grenache has great reviews and the bundle seems to have greater variety overall.

    • I ended up gambling and getting the premium one. Must be a reason they've named it premium. I'd take a guess that it's just as good as the stylish pack or better.

  • Heard about the strict CR and people getting cancelled etc, are we allowed to do 2 orders?

    • Multiple orders haven't been a problem. Getting the cash back has been a bigger issue.

  • It says this offer has now finished.

    • Where? I checked out about 3 minutes ago with the $100 off and cashback tracked instantly at $16.91 (the discounted rated minus GST).

    • You need to go on the cashrewards website.
The Boxing Day offer on the cellarmaster website is finished not the spend $220 get $100 off.

  • +2

    I bought these two:

    https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/mixed-cases/wine/southern-s…
    https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/mixed-cases/wine/fav-cabs-a…

Works out to be $5.36 per bottle for some decent wine. Even cheaper if you take into account the 15% cashback

    • Thanks for the suggestion. Ordered the reds you mentioned

  • +2

    My pick for this round:
    https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/red/mataro/wine/spinifex-mi… 12 bottles for $169
    https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/mixed-cases/wine/internatio… 6 bottles for $65

    Total was $234 - $100 = $134. 15% Cashrewards tracked in a few minutes at $18.27.

Grand total of $115.73 for 18 bottles. $6.42 a bottle.

NB: Spinifex is a top shelf winery.

  • I've lost my 15% cash rewards by paying with an Woolies e-gift (like I always do with Cellarmasters), I feel like cancelling the order and redoing it without egift :(
Definitely a bit shonky to change conditions without a warning.

    • Oh no, so no egift cards allowed for 15% Cashback?

  • Most of Penfolds are gone.

    • Most of the Penfolds were removed before the offer went live.

      • Only one pair which is priced @ $400.
        I love Penfolds Bin types.

None of them are available …

        • +1

From coupon terms: Excludes Champagne and Penfolds.

So no more cheap Penfolds when cellarmasters forget to remove them when giving us big discounts :)

          • +1

@rheags: The discount code still works on Penfolds.

            • +1

@danawys: And so it should. It wasn't excluded from the code. It was excluded from the cash back.

  • There's a St Henri 2016 in one of the 6 packs. $212.50 delivered after discount and cashback with 5 other well reviewed reds.

  • It seems like there's plenty of good deals, no one has worked out the best few? Seems like good multiple buys! I don't even drink much, and I've been buying loads of good wine lately!

    • Any examples?

      • +1

The one posted earlier is probably the best value for money - Johnny Walker Scotch OR Tarquin Gin bundle with 10 quality red wines. The scotch is worth around $40 and the Gin around $44. Each red is worth around $20-$25 RRP. So you're getting $200-$250 worth of red wine + a bottle of spirits worth $40-$45 for $102 after the $100 discount + 15% cashback ($18).

        https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/mixed-cases/wine/10-stylish…

        • Best value for sure. But if you are just gonna give presents then go with premium. Just my suggestion.

          • @stockastics: Yeah, I would of grabbed the $240 premium bundle for the 6 wines but it sold out. Worked out to be about $20 a bottle after all the discounts. Although, I gifted some $5 wine from skycellars sale last year so I don't really have standards haha.

            • +2

@AjsGuns: Lol, don't tell me you gifted gossip queen wine from Skye. I got so turned off after receiving the wine that I put them in my ban list.

              • @stockastics: I did to my boss, luckily It was my final year :-0. I did throw in a nice present to go with it lol.

                • @AjsGuns: Hahaha! Gossip queen wine along with tickets for the strip club..

                  • @stockastics: Haha, luckily she has a good sense of humour. How was the actual taste of the wine? I bought the case for a mate and took a couple of bottles out of it.

                    • +1

@AjsGuns: Absolute crap..gave me headache. Cheap cooking wine at best..

                      • @stockastics: Ah well, at least I cannot get fired. Will stick to the premium stuff this time :L

            • @AjsGuns: I ordered the international wine finalist pack for $140 and 15% cashback tracked instantly.

  • Time to stock up the cellar .. twice annual event .. thanks Cellarmasters .. !!

  • Great offer, paid with PayPal to get my Amex credit (get up to $40 back).
The link should probably go to the Cashrewards site though as there is obviously no mention of the offer on the cellarmaster website.

    • The rules require that the store itself is linked with CR linked in the description.

  • +2

Over 24 hours since purchase and nothing has been tracked , just the click showing on my cashrewards account .. I hope I dont lose the 15% cashback..

    • +1

      Did you use gift cards?

      • No , credit card.
