Following the pricing error from this deal, they offered a $20 apology voucher.

In order to work around the $150 minimum spend at checkout, follow the steps below:

  1. Add desired item into cart
  2. Go to the top of the page, click 'Shopping Cart' drop-down menu and then 'Checkout'
  3. Checkout as a guest and enter your personal information
  4. Click on 'To add or remove gift cards, click here' and enter code SZSORRY17
  5. Go back to cart and remove the code before repeating steps 2 and 3 - code should still be applied
  6. The payment option should say 'No Payment Information Required'
  7. Enjoy!

There aren't too many items for $20 but here are some examples:

Wow, they really screwed up today…

    • +2

Right now they are hoping this site would collapse.

  • Or SHOPATHOME for $30 off on orders over $300

  • +2

nope, minimum total is 150 spend with this code. it seems like an accidental to issue codes to push up sales, do you think?

    • Yeah, I’m seeing a $150 minimum too

    • +2

They've offered the same $20 off on $150 before on other price errors. Can't really trust this site.

  • +7

Thanks OP just ordered a free bluetooth adapter https://shopzero.com.au/electronics-and-office/computer-acce…
Checkout with < $150 trick from previous deal still works

    • Thanks . ordered

    • +5

I was able to order a Sandisk 32GB USB

Admittedly I will feel guilty if this one goes through.

    • thanks. Got 1 as well.

    • whats the trick>?

  • +9

What even is that site? Seems dodgy

  • +3

Can't get it to work following the instructions. Says minimum $10 spend

    • +1

Read the instructions again. Works fine for me.

      • Tried for a Lego set that was $23. Anyway too much effort. Tried a few times logged in and not logged in

        • +2

I've updated the steps with clearer instructions, hopefully it works for you now.

          • @bluggort: I'm guessing the no payment info required comes up only you if you purchase something exactly $20?

            • +1

@sub102: Oops, forgot to mention that. Yep, that's correct - only on items exactly $20.

              • @bluggort: So it means this works only for items priced $20

  • Must be a new way of “free” advertising.

  • They canceled my gerni pressure washer, says out of stock.

  • +4

I have a feeling these orders are going to get cancelled also.

  • +5

Cheers OP. Instructions were spot on . Ordered with no minimum spend.

    • No drop down menu for me - do you need to be registered? What browser?

      • +1

don't have to be registered. Chrome

  • +4
  • +1

    any good items under $20?

    • +3

You know that they will not honour anything you get for 'free'

  • +1

I dont want to use the three payment methods for $12.00 for a Memory Card - is there a work around that I can pay with PayPal?

  • +4

I keep getting these at step 2. not sure why
    Shopping Cart
Subtotal must exceed minimum order amount
    Minimum order amount is $10.00

    • +2

Remove the coupon. Do the hack to click the cart dropdown and click the Checkout link. Go through the guest checkout again and look very carefully at the screen that displays the no payment message. I missed it the first few times.

      • Got it thanks!

  • +1

What happened to PayPal payment? Has it been disabled on their site? It was available this afternoon, Strange.

    • +4

      they are dodgy as…

    • Lol yes just realised this when trying to get the Lego set for $3. I paid with PayPal for the Gerni and the other Lego set I posted this Arvo. I guess the site is meant to be a Layby like site so PayPal doesn't really make sense.

  • Worked for me, got the $20 LED bulb
    Subtotal $20.00
    Discount (SZSORRY17) -$20.00
Shipping & Handling (Free Shipping) $0.00
    Grand Total $0.00

Very curious to see what excuse they will invent now to cancel this order

    • +1

well, they can simply say you have not paid a cent to them lol

    • +1

They will say that you haven't spent the required minimum of $150!

      • That sounds logical

    • Did it attack you
      - attempted to breach our Purchase Terms and Conditions by actively circumventing our minimum cart value? :)

  • +1

not sure if they are going to honour this time, but better not spend extra on top of $20 if it works for you

  • worked for me, lets see if its cancelled

  • +2

@OP: I think steps 5 and 6 should be inverted.

5.Go back to cart and remove the code before repeating steps 2 and 3 - code should still be applied
    6. Repeat step 2 and the payment option should say 'No Payment Information Required'

    • +1

      You're right, cheers! Fixed.

  • +4

Seems a bit unethical to be posting 'workarounds'

Either way, they'll definitely cancel these orders too

    • -2

What's the point of being ethical to unethical businesses?

      • What makes this an unethical business?

        • -4

          What makes this workaround unethical?

This site is known for cancelling orders.
Too many "pricing errors" and apology coupons with minimum spend(that is not mentioned anywhere in the apology email).

"Unfortunately the Gasmate Meridian Area Heater (AH2063) is either not available or temporarily out of stock. We have cancelled this item off your order and will process a refund of $40.00, today.

We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience that this may have caused you. Please also accept this $20 coupon code from us for your inconvenience."

Also, very conveniently they removed Paypal from the payment methods

        • +3

Their RRPs are super jacked up. Check their Lego prices. Most are around double RRP.

If we're being really honest, any of these 'buy now pay later' type deals are mostly to take advantage of people with low financial literacy. Not always, but mostly.

      • -1

What did they do wrong that they deserved to be called unethical?

        • -5

        • Looks like there are a few members who loved the apology $20 coupon with minimum $250 spend

  • This has a limit of being used 2 times

  • Easy - Thanks Op!

  • Minimum order amount is $10.00

  • Did it but I doubt they'll honour it.

  • -4

With the recent chapter around Gerni, I am pretty sure they have crap IT guys. Not to mention this coupon (if generic) follows the same trend.

A business should not suffer from some idiot IT guy creating personal voucher which by some work around comes as Generic code.
Not worth putting a business down (by workaround). Specially during these times.

    • +1

Lol. I feel for all the neggers here on my comment. Helped retract my neg vote to the deal.

  • Worked for me. Excellent instructions! Thanks heaps

  • +1

I wonder if stores will start to disallow referrals from ozbargain? Here we have a coupon clearly meant as an apology code for people who didn't get the gerni deal and it's been reposted to ozbargain. This is kind of why we can't have nice things

  • +1

32gb usb stick $20.00 ordered so works for me see if they cancel it?

    • Ordered the same USB, let's see how it goes lol

  • Voucher code appears to work on multiple transactions.

  • +14

Need to take this down before everyone gets nothing

    • Lol! Comment of the day!

    • YEA! Take it down before they realise!

  • +2

I guess OZB is helping this business test it's e-commerce solution. Hope they fulfil - Lets not get too greedy….

    • -1

There has already been more than 1000 clicks. if everyone bought a $20 item. That would be $20,000. I really doubt it they would honor it.My guess is they would only honor partly paid items

      • +2

Their T&Cs allow them to cancel for technical issues or with an example of pricing errors.I think the partial payments would still be cancelled due to the checkout loophole as they mention

        Minimum Order Value
The minimum shopping cart grand total that is required to proceed to checkout is $150 after vouchers and discounts have been applied.

I think we're outta luck on this one as the checkout loophole is a tech issue.

  • +2

Works, thanks OP. Note: Removing the code is important in Step 5!

    • +1

Fancy seeing you anywhere but the OIJ livestreams.

      • LOL!

  • +1

Waste of time when they'll just pull another cancellation

    • +3

They will cancel and give another generic code. The fun beings again.

  • +6

wow the steps worked to literally "shop zero"

    • +7

and when they cancel it, it'll be "shop zero (items)"

      • lol i feel that will happen.

      • +9

        Ship Zero too

        • Lets see as Zero notification so far on the status of order.

  • -4

Thanks for sharing. Perhaps delete post to give those who have used a chance of having the order accepted?

    • There's already 1500 clicks, what difference will removing it now make?

      • +4

          Well said

    • lol nice try

  • +1

Ordered a UGREEN HDMI female to female adapter
    $20 is definitely a ripoff
But ok if its free :)

    • IF you ever receive it…

    • You should be ashamed of yourself.

    • IF you ever receive it…

  • +1

who would buy from this place normally?
there ps4 stuff is expensive. Lego is pretty steep also

    • +2

That’s the reason they are called Shop Zero

  • I accidentally found out a quicker way ( so you dont have to enter your guest information twice)

    1. Add desired item into cart
    2. Go to the top of the page, click 'Shopping Cart' drop-down menu and then 'Checkout'
    3. Apply coupon code "SZSORRY17"
    4. Repeat Step (2) to get an error of "Subtotal must exceed minimum order amount" (This step may not be needed)
    5. Cancel Coupon
    6. Repeat Step (2)
    7. Checkout as a guest and enter your personal information
    8. The payment option should say 'No Payment Information Required'

    Cheers
