      • That was Morgan Spurlock, IVI.

    • +1

how much do you weigh now?

  • you make me fatter.. every deal LOL

  • +4

My store doesn't even want the coupons. I haven't even finished saying 'whopper and small fries for $2' and they've already pressed the button on the cash register.

  • +1

Good bargain but I am too fat to participate.

I was thinking about this 'offer' after I ordered the vouchers last time round … its all a big dodgy campaign to make HJ look cheap…

Hungry Jacks get a mountain of advertising for "$2 Whopper & Chips" - BARGAIN, LOOK AT US, WE'RE CHEAP !!! but the end user has to register online, order the vouchers, wait for it to become available, print it off, then take it into the store to redeem … big bloody hassle, especially when I can go to Maccas and buy a $2 double cheeseburger or chicken 'n' cheese etc.

They might sell a million-billion scoopon vouchers & claim it a giant success, but I'd imagine like the vouchers I ordered, most of the vouchers won't actually be redeemed as its too much hassle for the customer. If it was "walk instore and buy for $2 (or even $2.50 / $3.00)", I'd give this a positive, but I've seen the light now :)

    • +2

You wouldn't get a burger AND FRIES at maccas for $2. At least $4 between 12-2 pm only.

      • -4

Burger $2, small fries $1 - any time of the day, for the rest of the year apparently … no dicking around, or "I've got a voucher…" speech.

        • +1

what's so bad about mentioning "i've got a voucher…" or "i would like to redeem…"

  • +2

you can only buy 2 :(

  • Watchout guys, I read the ToS and it says they spam you ads from various sites.
    I'd use a fake email.

Edit: I used a 'fake' temporary email and it says "Your purchase is being processed and your Scoopon will be available for printing or download from your account on 18 April 2012.".
    Pretty annoying!

  • Do the coupons have your name on it or anything? Can we all share the same coupon?

    • It's got my name on it but they've never asked for ID.

  • +2

FYI, you can use the same coupon unlimited times. I did it 10 times. & also all my friends are using the same coupon. no need to get more than one.

  • There are only so many Whoppers you can eat in a month.

  • I know it says pay in-store but has anyone tried using them in drive thru.

    • +4

      yes, i did, no problems.

      • Same here, they didn't even take my voucher when I did it. (Saves paper if you drive thru :P)

    • it does not mean literally pay at the counter. of course you can go through drive through. it is still a HJ store.

    • +14

wtf dude!? you dont even enter any payment details when you buy these vouchers so how in the world did scoopon even determine which credit card or bank account to charge you…if that did in fact occur!?

      • oops.. nvm

      • +1

        What jimbob said.

      • -7

Dude Jimbo, I click purchase it asked me for payments so I click Paypal and it took me to Paypal page but not actually disclose what is charged, which I thought initially it was must be for the $2 to Hungry jacks!
Did I not already told you that there must be an error in their payments and they would not even reverse it, so I will have to take it up to Paypal!
Just because it did not happen to you does not make me a liar and if the Scoopon rep is reading please reject the claim here and state that I was not charged as evidence so I can take it to the Dept of Fair Trading Ticket number was provided #64087 and $21 was charged to my Paypal so for WTF was the $21 for; following your terminology!
So if it is my crime for making people aware of it then Negged away WTF do I care, I hope it never happens to you but Karma is a strange thing…..

    • +3

You probably bought something else ><

    • +2

You should complain on their Facebook page

    • +4

Ring your credit card company and tell them and get them to chargeback the money, or if it was through paypal chargeback through there.

    • +11

      Your 'story' sounds too dodgy.

    • +3

While I appreciate feedback on deals, good and bad, you've shown no evidence. Show us something any your words might carry some weight and a few +1s!

Sccopon Gagged me with their disclaimer for your info, that is how big companies deal with little people in case you have not heard…. here is extract I can print:

I dare the scoopon representative to reject my claims and confirm that Scoopon did not charged me $21 for the vouchers with the ticket number disclosed (Ref#64087)so I can take it to Dept of Fair Trading as record!
And Yes, I will raise a claim with Paypal, like to see how Scoopon is going to justify.

Dumb shopaholic ,,, Seriously stop Wingin !!!

        • +2

Lol just show us the reply. What they going to do? Sue you? They would lose much more publicity over such an act than the benefit of "gagging" you. Show evidence or gtfo =)

  • Going to have to make use of this. Can't wait!

  • Thanax to scooping we might eventually run out of cattle :(

    • next lot will be made of 100% horse meat. mmmmmm

      • Have you ever tried a meatloaf made from horse meat like you can get in some european countries —- just bliss!!!

    • They maybe using the ones that would have been sold to Indonesia, but were banned last year. The cattle industry must be either more efficient or there is an over supply. $2 milk, $2 burgers, …

      • It's just a shame that leather items are still so expensive. :(

    • 1 Scoopon redeemable per person per store visit per day *

unless you get a nice person who will let you use 2 at the same time :)
    just saying.

  • Scoopon must have a contractual arrangement with HJ to sell a lot of burgers (not just vouchers).
First an email reminder for me to use my vouchers (Normally Scoopon are happy for them to expire without use!), now this. They must be striving for some sort of target for a reason ;-)

  • -2

Maybe just me, the whooper quality went downhill since the $2 deal…

    • Tastes the same to me

  • can only purchase 2 coupons each time ??

    • Yes, but just photocopy them and use again and again. They don't scan them.

  • the veggie whoppers are not vegetarian.

  • "Bought" 2 more for what its worth. Still have a few left over from last offer.
If there was a Subway next to HJ, I'd rather have the $3 Ham & Salad 6 inch sub every time.

  • last time i used the coupon (print in A4) that my friend gave it to me on Werribee hungry jack, she not even ask / see the coupon, she just said "ok, its $2" and give me the meals, So i kept use it and use it (5 times already!)there is no need to buy more than 1 IMHO

  • I just used one voucher from the previous deal yesterday…was impressed with the size of the burger but not the taste- burger was cold by the time I got to it, and the chips was pretty much swimming in salt I didn't even finish it! Went in almost 2pm and store was pretty busy so the staff probably couldn't care less..

I might give it another go before the voucher expires…this time probably a vegie whopper and at a different store.

    • Buy at lunch times, so many people using this coupon, they keep making whoppers so I always get hot & fresh ones. At least the HJ at Wynyard Station that I am talking about.

  • +1

If you are making a purchase with these coupons, do check if you get the chips. Many times, I have had to go back to the counter and request for chips. Is it an accident or something more deliberate. Ill leave that up to you to decide

  • +2

They don't even scan the voucher so you can just keep printing the same voucher and use it over and over agai!!!

  • Btw, as noted by others, you can use a single coupon multiple times. Hungry Jacks doesnt keep record of it. They just ring up the bill and throw the voucher/coupon in the bin. So, you can use them daily for the rest of the legitimate period.

    • Waste of paper/printing then… They should just cross off a number on our list of voucher numbers if that's the case.

  • At least you can change your city of choice, meaning you can get more than 2 vouchers if you wanted to.

  • Anyone want to send me a spare coupon?
    I just missed out :(

  • +2

Been eating HJ for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the past 2 wks . all for $6 a day.

    • Saving money is literally costing you your life!

      • What a silly comment.

  • -1

This deal reminded me I bought 10 vouchers in the previous sale and had never redeemed one. I finally got around to it tonight and was rather surprised how awfully bland a whopper is. I've eaten HJ's for years but choose either the Stunner Deal or Bacon Deluxe meal, so I've never had a Whopper. The size is impressive, but the flavour is not. I'm surprised these are the flagship burgers of the company.

I won't be redeeming the rest of the vouchers.

    • +2

      It's $2.

  • yeah they can be very bland. have used the voucher 3 times now and first time was great. burger was piping hot almost burnt my hand with plenty of sauce/salad etc. not a big fan of fast food but for $2 its a good buy.

  • Inquired about acceptance of on-phone coupons a couple weeks back at Darlington (SA) and was told that from a "certain date" coupons will only be accepted if printed off. Fortunately for me the manager could neither remember or find when this date was and honoured the coupon regardless.

  • Not to worry
