With the Tiger paw print now covering more of Australia with recently launched destinations such as Coffs Harbour, Sunshine Coast and Alice Springs, travellers are now spoilt for choice with where to head for as low as $10* each way - and for as little as $20* return there really is no excuse!

Since Tiger launched in Australia it has remained committed to providing Australians with great value fares and friendly service while helping keep the domestic travel market competitive.

“Tiger’s mission has always been to bring great value to the Australian public,” said Carly Brear, Tiger Airways Australia Commercial Director.

“By great value we mean low cost fares with the backdrop of customer service as a given - improvements in this area are a constant focus for the team. Making air travel accessible to everyone is what we’re about. What better value than air travel across Australia from just $10*? We’re constantly looking at ways to enhance our offering and I hope these fares give people the incentive to book their next travel adventure with Tiger,” said Miss Brear.

All of Tiger’s domestic routes Australia wide are on sale from just $10* from midday tomorrow (AEST), 17 April 2013, until midday Friday (AEST), 19 April 2013, (or until sold out).

Thanks OP. Flying Melbourne Perth in November with 15kg luggage for 60$ return.

    • When did you book that? Mel to Perth isn't showing up anymore.

      • Was like at 3 pm.

Lots of suitable dates disappeared in front of my eyes so in the end I just booked a 4 day trip.

  • Just booked ADEL > MELB $10 though tigers
MELB > ADEL $9 though jetstar!
    Staying for 4 nights…

Can't wait for till after end of finals!

  • +1

Thanks OP. Booked $35 Melb-Perth return no luggage. awesome.

Just had the worst customer service ever from Jetstar. I advised them of the deal, and they proceeded to claim they were unable to access the website. The supervisor hung up on me when I asked him for a guarantee / complaint number!

    • -1

Why would you even bother calling them? Why not just book online?

      • +2

You can't book online to price match right?

        • Oops. Sorry. My bad. I read it as Tiger and was wondering why would you call Tiger.

I had no problem booking price beat fare with jetstar. Melbourne - Brisbane return for 6 adults for $108

        • just try again you'll get a different CS Rep.

    • +1

I booked mine by a skype, you might want to try.

  • +2

Just booked Brisbane to Melbourne return for $36 a person, no credit card surcharge :D Thanks Jetstar (edit: and Tiger, and the poster).

    • Jetstar?

      • Price beat guarantee :)

        • Why does that deserve a neg?

  • Looks like the family is off to Alice Springs

  • Trying to find $10 MEL-GC tickets

  • Yeah … 20$ Sydney … would love a trip to Alice Springs … but couldn't find a deal …

  • How come didnt see any $10 ticket from Perth to Melt?

    • +1

It's all sold out! I only snagged a one-way PER-MEL before it sold out, so I'll need to try find a way to get back later.

      • +1

I only got one way fron Mel to Perth. Now need to find ways to get there. LoL

  • Hmmm $74 Mel - Bris return (with luggage) can't complain I guess!
Nice work… now lets just hope they dont go under!

  • What's the difference between Alice Springs(Tiger) & Ayers Rock(Jetstar) is it nearby or 2 different places??

Is it better to go to Cairns or Alice Springs at December?

    • They're different places and are 464 km apart according to Google maps…

  • +1

why i still get charged Booking fee: 17.00AUD

Credit card payments are subject to a booking fee of AUD 8.50 per flight per person. This will be added to the price on the payment page. There is no fee for bookings made with an Australian-issued MasterCard debit card.

    • +1

I used Australian Master Card, but still get charged 8.50 per flight per person… did it through mobile app. Not sure whether it is same for other, also does it also happen to Hydrated beat as well?

      • +1

Has to be a debit card, i.e. your own money.

        • Very sure it is a debt card or my own money. Confirmed with my baked too. Wondering what happened?

        • maybe u chose the wrong payment option, makesure you choose Master Debit Card instead of Master Card or Visa Card in payment option..

        • I have Visa Debit card, why are they still charging me booking fees?

        • because it's not a Mastercard debit card.

        • But it's a debit card. What do they have against Visa?

        • Did you choose AU debit card? and not the normal one

        • There was no choice for a Visa Debit so I had to pay the damn fees

    • +1

      $8.50 each way. Return = $17.

Call Jetstar and get a price beat. $9 each way, and they don't charge a CC fee when you use the price beat.

      • just checked I forgot to select the Aus-issued master card option when doing it using mobile app. Damn ! Is there any way to get it back? Wish they could put this at more obvious position or an option such as DEBT card option~

      • +2

Its crazy that $17 card fee return with Tiger which is almost the same price with $18 return air fare inc card fee with Jetstar

  • I just tried to price match with Jetstar but the operator said, "Sorry sir, I am guessing you are trying to price match Tiger $10 flights. Unfortunately we can't access the site and it is down due to heavy traffic. Try again in 30 min." So why am I using it freely at supersonic speeds? Also happened ^^^^^^^^ an hour and a half ago. Fibbers!

    • I've tried several times and haven't been able to access the website.

      • It's been blazing all evening/night for me. As soon as I was dismissed by the Jetstar operator I tried 2 min later, and despite getting the run around I scored.

    • +1

The Jetstar operator I spoke to told me the site was down, and that she'd try again and call me back within half an hour. Only about 15 mins later she called back to confirm - very helpful!

  • Tiger want to charge me $10 for an adult seat and $30 for an infant to sit on my lap. If I try for a whole extra seat, which I am entitled to if I wish, I cannot book due to lack of birth year availability. Average.

"The author Bill Bryson has wryly observed that Alice Springs manages to earn a lot of money by pretending it is close to Uluru, when it is actually a five- to six-hour drive on a sealed road." (from http://www.stuff.co.nz/travel/australia/outback/8556730/Trac…).

Either way, it's booked now. Now I just have to convince my brain that I really wanted to do the $350+ tour.

    • That's funny.

      I just bought a $350 tour.

Return to Alice from Sydney, 1 night in Alice, 3 day 2 night $350 tour to Uluru, and 1 more night in Alice for about $600.

      Looks great to me.

    • Yes thank goodness I rang my mum before booking, I thought I could pop in for a day to see Uluru but for the four of us it would be a pretty expensive weekend. At last my willpower seems to have kicked in. That being said it is a great bargain if you can afford it. My mum just did the $350 tour and thought it was really good.

    • I did one of those tours and thought it was amazing. I travelled there solely to see Uluru but the rest of the tour was so good Uluru turned out to be rather average in comparison!

      • Thanks for your positive reviews guys. Now I have something to look forward to in October :)

  • +1

bris to mlb for 5 ppl during dec school holidays $130 rtn inc 1 check in luggage. jetstar price beat. 2 mins wait time and the girl on the phone was sooo helpful!

  • Their mobile app works pretty well + saved profile info

Scored multiple trips around the country for $20 return per person :)

The Jetstar number for the price beat guarantee is about a 45 min wait when I tried, so wasn't worth it.

If TT go bust between now and then, just submit the chargeback through your bank to get the $$'s back.

  • Wtf.. Booking flight from MEL-ADL, then ADL-MEL return.
$40 for flights, $20 seat fees, $34 booking fees. From $40 to $94. No thanks. Also, I'll add in that Jetstar refused to price match when the flight was 1 hour and 10 minutes away.. I mean, cmon :/

    • +1

Their price beat guarantee states it has to be within an hour of the competing flight's departure time.

Ironically I have not booked any flights myself due to the lack of choice from my Airports (Brisbane & Sunshine Coast) and not a big fan of Melb (sorry if that offends anyone) and visited Sydney a fair few times. Good luck to all that got tix and for those still looking :D

  • +1

got tix $18 to fly from syd - melb, then melb - bne

  • When ringing jet star i you have to find same flight ….same day and same times etc? Never done it before. Thx

    • not sure if your post is a statment or question

but I did it earlier in the day I just told them when I wanted to go and asked them to choose times closest to what I had stated. wasn't an issue for me. maybe now since it's been so bargained you might need to check both sites before calling.

      • +1

Yeah sorry was asking how it worked. Thanks for the info

  • I reckon I would forget all about my flight by the time october rolls around

  • Got from jet star …. Now just waiting for email confo

  • Has anyone booked from perth to melb and back ? I can't seem to find any :(

    • +1

Yeah, I did - $20 return for 1 person. Booked me and the Mrs return for $40 :)

They are all sold out now.

  • there are a few sydney to brisbane flights that arrive at around about 1pm and leaves at 6pm return on the same day for $20 — would be a nice short holiday… but not for bris to syd as the timing is bad unless you want to spend a night or go to sydney for 40 minutes (LOL!). couldn't find bris-melb same day $20 though :P

edit: looks like there are plenty of syd-melb $20 same day return… damn!

  • I will not fly with tiger. Not even for free. But yes, competition is good.

    • +7

      Not even for free?

      how very un-ozbargain of you.

  • Very tempting but not when credit card and/or (depending on what they want to call them this week) booking fees can be 500% more than what you pay here.

Then there is the risk that Tiger will just oversell a flight leaving you stranded at the gate.

Good find, deserving of a +1, just not worth the risk to me.

Edit: up to 500% - that was unfair to state it's always 500% more.

  • Booked Melb to Syd leaving 19th Nov and returning 23rd Nov with Jetstar. $18 PP return. WOOT ^___^

    • When did u book this? Lastnight?

  • Booked..Thanks ozbargain!!!

  • Not sure how things work, but yesterday I got return flights MEL-PER for 2A and 2C. Breakdown as follows:

    Fare Price - $72.72
    Fare Fee & Taxes $26.92
    Baggage (40kg) $108
    Booking Fee $68

Comes to $275.64, yet they have charged me $256….Not sure how its worked out?

    Any Idea?

  • Great find, but couldnt get on to the website yesteday.
