  • If you don't care about long shipping times, Cree Q5-based bike lights (with taillight combo) can be had for cheaper via eBay.

      Yes
Overseas stock you mentioned may be cheaper but they can't beat Aldi's 60days return or refund policy.

Here is conversation between 2 OPS about Overseas stock light (Q5)

1st OP: Received mine a week ago. It's small and good quality. It's also very bright, but it doesn't focus well.

2nd OP: Are you extending the head all the way? Apart from having slightly more resistance than I would prefer, I don't have any focus issues on mine. In fact, the throw in focused mode is very impressive, especially given the size of the flashlight and the fact that it runs on a single AA.

1st OP: It's not as bright if the head is fully extended. Sorry, I've got the Q5, not this one

2nd OP: I have the Q5 as well, however it sounds like yours has an issue of some kind. Mine is blindingly bright in fully-focused mode.

1st OP: I thought so as well, but it's not worth returning it

  • Sweet, will pick up a light set. May want to note sale starts the 24th.

    • 27th for most of this stuff though…

    • half the catalogue starts on the 24th, the rest including this deal starts 27th

The lights are rubbish, save yourself the trouble. The front light takes about 3 AA batteries, which lasted around a month (non-LED front light). The plastic strap that attaches the back light to your bike broke after a week, so no fun there either.

I'd go for something like this -> http://www.anaconda.com.au/Product/Bikes-and-Accessories/Bik…
Anaconda has regular sales on bike stuff, so you can probably get it cheaper if you wait.

    • I'd have to agree here, sadly they don't sell the lights they used to.
Infact I still have a Cree headlamp I bought from them years ago thats still going strong. Only cost like 10-15$ from what I remember? I still use it to this day.
