$20 Skype Credit for $10 - Deal Extended

160

$20 Skype Credit is selling for $10 at the website at the link.

Contrary to what the name of the site implies, there is evidently nothing preventing someone who is not a student from taking advantage of this deal.
I signed in initially with my Facebook account and used a Gmail account as my email address to get the Skype credit voucher.
I don't know what other email addresses work.

Can't complain over 50% off Skype credit.

This is supposed to be a "deal of the day" sort of thing, so act fast.

Thank you.

Note: Deal timer has renewed and now ends Saturday afternoon, Australia time. I don't know the reason for the extension.

  • Target has 50% off Skype credit if anyone needs more.

    • D'oh! I just noticed it.
How did I miss it before?

Anyway, the good part of my deal tonight is that you can buy it at home in your pajamas, the same way I'm posting it.

    • Link? I can't find…

edit: found it, it's on this site:

The afternoon the deal began I went to Target and found they sold out every single Skype Credit card.
I wonder if they still have stock today.

  • I should mention the purchase appears to be in US dollars.
I had no trouble using my Australian credit card to make the purchase, even though it made me choose a US state (it allowed me to choose Australia as my country, confusingly enough).

    • Can you use it?

      • Yes, the credit posted into my account right away.
I would not have posted this deal if I could not verify that it works here.

  • Just bought one. It works!

You can only buy maximum of one per account. Suggest you create multiple accounts if you want to purchase multiple times!

  • I do hear people are having success buying multiple times using multiple accounts.

  • Thanks to Mod for removing the affiliate link from the initial post…
I now see that the correct etiquette is to put it in the description.
    Sorry for my mistake.
This is my first "really useful" deal post (you can tell I'm a dad and my son watches a lot of Thomas the Tank Engine).

  • I keep getting: "Gateway Error: Invalid Credit Card Number". I've tried both a Visa and a MasterCard.

    • That is odd. I used my Westpac card, no problems.

    • I'm getting errors on my Mastercard too

      • I used a Westpac Altitude Amex

    • Finally got it to work on a friend's Amex card!

  • Nice deal. It is indeed in USD but this can still be used on our Australian skype accounts I hope?
I used your referral link by the way :)

    • Thanks, let us know that the Skype credits posted in your account!

  • i'm overseas at the moment so couldnt take advantage of target's 50% off…. i just used this and immediately redeemed and credit showing in my skype account straight away… excellent work OP - purchased using Australian issued visa card without any hiccips.

Mod, I'm not a first-time poster, what I said was I have never posted a really useful link before - a top shelf link like Skype.

As you can see I've been on this site for a while.

I ask that in good faith you allow me to post an affiliate link in my description. The Collegebudget site I linked to is not so great in general and maybe their referral credits will be worthless to me, but it's the principle of the thing.

Ok, I found the policy in the wiki, at the bottom.
I can't say I'm not being treated fairly. But I did honestly think this wasn't my first deal.

  • Skype credits work OK!

  • works. thank you.

  • Why I only get $18.56 ?

    • I think its around there. I set mine to oz dollar, so there should be a skype conversion rate from usd to aud.

      • That's an unbelievable rate. Can you imagine 100 US dollars = 92.5 Australian dollars?

        • Yeah, commbank charges 9.68 and 9.69 on my 2nd purchase. Well you can set you skype credit to usd for future, but no point changing now as you will lose more in conversion

        • I lost USD $0.10. It's OK for me.

  • For whatever reason, it appears this deal has now been extended another day

    • It's a shame this deal never made it to the front page, because it's not bad. Now that it has been extended twice there is no chance anybody will notice it, as you would have to look pretty far down the New Deals feed to find it.

      • actually making international phone calls in the US is never an expensive thing. This deal may sound good but considering Skype has a connection fee it really isn't that appealing compare to other service providers. At least google voice doesn't have a connection fee. If you are on unlimited monthly plan you can add $10 per month to make unlimited phone calls to up to 200 countries. I found my Skype credit used much quicker than my google voice account and if I am in the US I don't even bother to use Skype.

  • Most will have found Twholesale and the like nowadays. https://www.aldimobile.com.au/sitedocs/pay_as_you_go__30_rat…

Though Toll Free &IP dialing_sky is in some instances worth it.
