But bought the $14.50 because of better spec, much better screen resolution, rechargeable and portable, can play movie, music and ebook function.

It will be good price for $7.48 if you want it sit at home playing photos only

  • so, it can open epub, word, mobi, and pdf?

  • …and its gone

  • Disappointing like the other Dick Smith deals. Posted on OZbargain and bang gone.

  • Thanks, about 7 left at North Sydney - 6 now as the guy behind me just got one.

  • Rang Adelaide, no stock despite saying so on website.

  • but got every function as a E-Book Reader

Sounds like you haven't actually used a e-reader.

I find it hard to justify spending $14.50 if one has a tablet that can do the same thing, unless you must have a dedicated device. Not to mention this isn't network capable. Downloading photos and videos via USB gets old after a while. I bet the video playback on this isn't so flash either.

This is OzBargain… we can't help ourselves

      • +1

You need one of those free self-help books then. Oh wait you need an e-reader first. :)

  • It says in stock but call call store instead of collect here??

  • Nice deal. We got one and we're not sure whether to keep it or gift it. I think the only one remaining in Maitland is ex-display - the unit seems OK but the leather case/stand is a bit rough.

  • So, they would be allright to play videos for kids on car trips ?
How do you charge these things ?
I am planning to put an inverter in the car. Hopefully they come with a wall plug !
