COTD - slow postage!

I made an order on COTD on 24 April 2013. I got an email today (13 May 2013) saying that the order has been despatched from their warehouse and will take 3-9 working days to get to me. Is this the norm with COTD? It seems excessive…

    I couldn't say it is normal but they are very inconsistent.
    I have ordered electricals that have taken months but food items usually only take about a week.
    I have got similar delays from other COTD type outlets.
    My theory is that they don't place the order with OS suppliers until after they get enough orders, this plus international shipping delays causes varying delivery times.
    PS I live in QLD.

      It makes sense that they don't place orders or at least obtain things from suppliers - I don't know how else something could take 19 days to leave their warehouse…

    I have ordered a few items from COTD in the past and the most recent order was 90 Oreo Wafer Sticks for $2.50 Delivered (took only a few days to arrive), and I have been quite happy with their service.
    I have nothing to complain so far:)

    I've had very mixed results with COTD with postage time. Some orders go through very quick and others seem to take a few weeks. And this is all a mixture of stuff from food to goods/clothes.

    But once they are in the mail they usually arrive within a week.

    I got a recent order for random non-food items within 10 days or so. In Qld too.
